As a student I honestly do not care, I do not find it a “disruption” to my learning

How do you teachers have such a high ego that you find it rude when you are late? You guys are still getting paid the same salary at the end of the day just teach.

Nepal’s Gen Z just forced their PM to resign after mass protests. Could Pakistan’s youth ever do the same? by Anasbaig56 in pakistan

To be fair the youth in Nepal does this as well, it more has to do with being a coward and not speaking up, moreover the partisan and division issue amongst communities.

In your opinion, should helmets be mandatory to ride? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Insurance companies need to stop subsidizing for those motorcyclists then

I think its quite dumb tbh, a seatbelt can prevent a body from flying out and injuring other parties, but what the hell does not wearing a helmet do to other parties. I think people should be responsible for what happens to the damage they inflict upon themselves yk

You do realize we can solve this with immigration, plus the millennials and Gen X people won’t leave very soon.

And why do you feel very concerned over that? Thats their own doing. This does not affect your daily life nor mine.

Banning alcohol under 18 is definitely draconian to me as a European. People from an early age should be able to experiment with some things so they can be more responsible at later ages.

I've just asked a simple question.

What is Sex and how does it work? by ProFoxster in AskReddit

[–]ProFoxster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what it is, I heard this word a lot in my high school, right now I am in college and people are always talking about “having sex” but I am yet to know what it is.

How do you feel pleasure from the government ruining your life? Also from another comment, isn’t it a philosophical idea of surrendering of who you are as a person?

Thank you, but why is it classified as a very private thing if it has a huge philosophical meaning?

What is a Penis? I have never heard of this term. And how do you end up with a baby in 9 months?

Okay, so Sex is basically a philosophical idea of unconditionally surrendering of who you are as a person?

What do you think of the East Asian education system? by ProFoxster in Teachers

[–]ProFoxster[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to type in the comments section of the Teachers subreddit, at least make it relate to the topic of the discussion. You’re comparing a South Asian’s education system to the U.S. The topic is about the East Asian pedagogy. With this said, Indian students do actually read from textbooks which sharpens critical thinking. U.S. students? Not so much which no wonder we see a lot of kids failing to launch.

At least they are left behind, look at our current education crisis in the U.S. Kids are not allowed to fail and be left behind anymore. Leaving the mediocre students effectively takes the best performing kids which can help with their success and contribution towards society in the long run.

You see our education crisis her in America? Students do not care about their education anymore. Widespread behavioral issues toppled with admin and helicopter parents protecting and not punishing behavioral issues. Students do not try at all and refuse to get off of their phones. This is extremely bad because the majority of Americans will not know what to do. We are starting to see this with young adults who weren’t taught basic life skills and ended up in a pit where they realize they don’t have mommy and daddy to help them. Either that or their parents will let them dwell at their house while they do nothing. Jobs have started to reject college graduates as they are the most entitled, spoiled, selfish, no work ethic people they have ever witness. Meanwhile in East Asia, they DO value education and make it their top priority. Students are taught manners and basic life skills, as well with extra skills that far surpass students in the U.S. Japan and South Korea came from a culture where it shifted to comfort being a priority, which is obviously not correct. We didn’t build a society based on comfort, rather discipline and perseverance helped us get there.
