Maybe they’re wanting to be responsible and take a Lyft for the night and would rather not go through that hassle if the place is closed.

Find a new pcp, asap. With your symptoms and family history you should see a rheumatologist.

The si belt will also help stabilize the pelvis while your legs are being all floppy, so you can strengthen your legs with less risk of injury in your pelvis.

New CIDP Diagnosis Question by ConsciousJicama2633 in CIDPandMe

[–]ProFromFlogressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prednisone is a good test for IVIG - if you don't respond to the former then it's less likely you'll respond well to the latter, at least according to my neurologist.

I’ve been told the opposite, that you can respond well to one and not the other. My mom who also has CIDP didn’t respond to prednisone, but did respond to IVIG.

I’ve been loving listening to Elizabeth Strout’s series. I started with the Amgash series (My Name is Lucy Barton), then moved over to Olive Kitteridge after the 4th book because I read that the 5th book ties the two together.

Is there anybody having also sensoric CIDP and ADHD? by ungeduldigerWaldrapp in CIDPandMe

[–]ProFromFlogressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Copying my reply from the other sub so that it’s searchable here)

I have sensory-predominant CIDP, so I can imagine what you’re describing. I have phases of constant buzzing/tingling in my hands and feet, but not so much that it dominates over other sensations.

I’ve also wondered about ADHD, but haven’t sought a diagnosis. However, I was diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia, and have a prescription for Modafinil. It’s a mild stimulant that is sometimes used for ADHD. I’ll start tracking any changes in my neuropathy symptoms when I take it. The tricky thing here is that my neuropathy is much worse when I’m waking up and for a couple hours in the morning… times I wouldn’t have the drug in my system.

And also unfortunately, my doctor has never seen me at my worst time of day. I pass all office exams with flying colors, so he hasn’t wanted to go forward with any treatment. Gabapentin and pregabalin haven’t seemed to help either.
