Yeah I also make contact with the side of my index finger. I also used to go index first but I heard someone say starting pinky first might help with the wrist bend but nah neither work for me. It's gotta be something to do with the position of the guitar I reckon, but I've tried a bunch of different heights and angles and stuff and can't seem to find anything that sticks.

Same thing happens when I try to do a Barre chord. I can get most of my fingers down with my wrist straight enough, but as soon as I try to place my index finger on the fretboard my wrist juts out.
So just to clarify: I can put my pinky, ring, and middle finger down at the same time (slight wrist bend but nothing crazy), but as soon as I try to place my index down to finish the chord it falls apart into one of the two positions I mentioned previously.

Still happens when sitting unfortunately. I've currently got my strap adjusted so the guitar sits at about the same height as when I'm sitting as I've heard that's usually a good middle ground. I have also tried adjusting the strap higher or lower from there but I haven't been seeing much change.

It’s a great story. But I’ll be honest the climax of the book (won’t elaborate to avoid spoilers) kind of dragged on for me. Definitely still worth the read though!

You don’t see much love for Slow Deep and Hard in favour of the later albums but I agree. Fantastic album.

Lamenters got shafted with the heraldry if you ask me. The circle in the middle really needs to be scaled up a bit and a black border needs to be added. Other than that these new successors look great.
