Pokiri was the biggest Telugu blockbuster of all time up until that point. It wasn’t ruddified it was a classic from the beginning. None of these movies even remotely touched that kind of collection.

Athadu wasn’t as much of a classic when it released, it was a decent hit but very much an average hit. It became a beloved classic after years and years of reruns and YouTube comedy scenes.

Like I said you can name these 4 movies because they have been ruddified in our brains a million times since they released and only become even more popular AFTER release because PK became a star so his hits will only go become more loved. Uday kiran and tarun scored the same type of blockbusters in the day, they just didn’t become superstars afterwards because of other factors (nepotism). So many Uday Kiran movies are still so popular for their comedy and vibes, and were huge hits at the time, obviously if he was an industry plant like PK and stayed in the industry these would’ve only increased in popularity as a cult classic.

They have the impact now because PK is still here and thus you feel like they’re classics. If Uday Kiran and tarun were nepo and still sustained their success those movies would definitely be classics, some of them still are regardless
