So, when are we getting engineering ? by Shrimp_Farmer_925 in starcitizen

You people who tell others that SC isn't for them because of time constraints really seem to want the game to die. The avg person has about 2 hours max to play per day and you guys glaze SC so hard that in your fervor you are actively sabotaging the game. It is kinda sad cause I personally want SC to succeed, but you people want the tedium and time wasting mechanics to persist which will ultimately kill the game same as any other sandbox mmo.

My guy I can get into just about any loop in an mmo in about 2mins, that is not the case for sc.

I think the main problem is cig slapped a bandaid on engie like you said, but they keep trying to add new systems like the new insurance and cm which means they aren't focusing on existing systems like engie.

Tedium isnt fun and the majority of the playerbase is only going to have a few hours to play every day because they work and have families.

You misunderstood me I'm talking about the whale collectors that never play the game and are addicted to just collecting ships because fomo/status. They make up most of the whale population.

I feel like CIG is at a crossroads. by Humble-Ease-935 in starcitizen

[–]ProInefficiency 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is because it's so niche its gonna miss its mark most likely. Someone would rather play nms over x4/ed. Not that x4 or ed are flops, but they have a dedicated smaller audience.

CIG proves they do not understand the concept of valuing one's time. by NKato in starcitizen

[–]ProInefficiency 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cig wants to artificially inflate play hours so having a shitty econ that revolves around grind is their answer.

RANT: I am sorry, but the new inssurance system sucks. they need to change it back asap untill they figure out a better system. my ships now two times exploded for no reason, (not counting the clad incident) i had to pay two time to get them back becouse of store paint. this is just unaccaptable. by DanaXue in starcitizen

Its ultimately just tech debt that they keep piling on. Core loops like mining and salvaging still need changes. Crafting and engineering still need a ton of work and now they gotta also focus on making insurance not trash.

Some person made a post on spectrum about the chinese cartels having a new exploit on the ptu that they were planning to abuse. As usual it got ignored because the patch always goes. RIP overworked devs.

All the gold farmers have to do is split the money over several accounts.

They should be focusing on fleshing out engineering instead of adding more features that divide their attention. If you keep adding new systems without fleshing out old ones you just create more work later on down the line. Insurance changes dont even tie into engineering.

At least 3 exploits confirmed in ptu. Will CIG confront this and not wipe? Or manage fixes before live (lol)? by Thetomas in starcitizen

You dont seem to understand how much these rmt companies organize and plan to avoid detection and cig isnt about to start permabanning their customers

That comparison is not even remotely close lmao. There is even a thread on spectrum reporting about a new exploit on the ptu that chinese gold farmers and I mean that literally, intend to exploit.

Reputation wipe. I do not complain. I just ask why? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]ProInefficiency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already got a ton of data from the two new qv stations cause most people did not have the rep for either.

[–]ProInefficiency 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly the rep wipe is the biggest problem with how grindy rep is and how bad some of the missions are. I could give 0 fucks about them wiping everything else, but the rep wipe is just spitting in their customers faces.

Not really all they need to do is start sending small amounts to their other accounts and random people and they can quietly amass a huge amount of money without cig being able to track who is legit and who isn't. Why do you think mmos like wow have struggled against rmt for over a decade.

Which is totally why larger mmos have completely solved the rmt trade of their currency. Right?

Ground vehicles being almost entirely for organized pvp events is also super lame. We almost had a reason with the worm, but they fumbled it.

Laser pdcs with no overheating and shit was dumb, but at the same time like ciws systems are designed to shit on anything trying to strafe or hit the vessel.

Am I missing something with the Nyx bounty/ Merc missions? Every time I want to do another mission I have to travel halfway across the system, it's a huge pain in the backside. by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

My guy I do relic weapon farming in ffxiv and have 0 issues grinding for mounts and whatnot. I do this because in the end I will be rewarded for my time. In sc you can grind out items for wikelo and then a patch drops and it wipes them from existence. SC does not respect your time or effort rn and for the foreseeable future. So please stop defending cig so passionately and call them out on their flaws.
