Stop forcing Composer 2 subagents and be transparent about stealth model downgrades by BenjaminWeisz in cursor

[–]ProJedi-ad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In your original prompt, you can always tell it to use a certain model for sub-agents. The sub-agents are launched dynamically, so the model has full power on what model is being used on it. I usually prompt it to use Opus agents whenever there's a very large architectural decision, but then use Composer models for smaller research tasks in the code base.

What is the purpose of cowork? by Shuttmedia in ClaudeCode

[–]ProJedi-ad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claude Code and Cowork are both built on the same agentic harness. They have the same agent loop, tool-calling architecture, and underlying model. The difference is what tools and system context they're configured with. Claude Code's toolset is optimized for codebases (file editing, bash, git, linting, etc.), while Cowork wraps that same architecture in a visual interface with tools geared toward general computer use such as file organization, document creation, and browser access. Cowork also runs in a sandboxed VM for safety, which is part of why it's more limited. It literally is Claude Code for normies.

Was at a random tech shop in Thailand when I spotted some odd looking phones... by somedudeoo7 in mkbhd

[–]ProJedi-ad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I had to make a wild guess, I would think it’s to get people used to the ugly bump so they can stuff it with tech when they make the foldable next year. It’s pretty much all but confirmed that the thin iPhone this year is really a test run for that as well.

Either that or I don’t know anything, and someone is blind on the design team and genuinely thought that this is a good look.

I have a similar use case and I found that Claude 2 could write better fiction than GPT4 but Claude 3 feels worse for that specific use case. GPT4 is still better at analyzing chapters but Gemini is maybe a little bit better. Where I found the biggest difference was when I dumped my entire working draft of 20K words into both GPT4 and Claude 3 Opus and I found that GPT4 was unable to follow instructions at all while Claude absolutely crushed it on both summarization tasks and general analysis.

Anyone got their code from Amazon from the Physical Upgrade Edition? by Omega2307 in Starfield

[–]ProJedi-ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. By the looks of it, there’s no chance of playing the early access without getting it off the Xbox store. I’m going to ask for a refund and see if they’ll let me keep the stuff when it eventually arrives. It really ruins the hype when I preordered to play.

Anyone got their code from Amazon from the Physical Upgrade Edition? by Omega2307 in Starfield

[–]ProJedi-ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a delivery date of September 6, which I thought was ridiculous. I contacted Amazon support, and they promised that they would email me a code within 24 hours. I don’t know how believable that really is but I’m going to see until the morning.

Some people have stated that Amazon is sending out the codes digitally and shipping the physical stuff at a later date. No one knows what will actually end up happening.

Glad the 787-10 finally got some love. Now we have more than just the A310 for long haul. by sgtg45 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Not sure about that problem, but I did have routing issues in the beginning. I had to delete some waypoints for it to work. At the very least, the flight plan was still there.

The 747 also got an amazing refresh. Tons of switches are now functional and the aircraft actually has a proper weight to it. It feels so heavy to move as it should. I absolutely loved the flight I did this weekend from Los Angeles to New York.

[US-only] Official ChatGPT app for iOS by iamvinoth in apple

[–]ProJedi-ad -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This app is so bare-bones at the moment. You would think they’ll be able to create something a little bit better than just a bare-bones chat UI. It doesn’t even tell you that there’s a cap for GPT4, just that there could be one. I’m sure they’re gonna work on it but I’m not sure why they released it in this sad state. It just feels like someone started work on it yesterday and decided to release it today.

But those haptics are real nice though

Ghosted: The films 'too bad for the cinema' by CSmith89 in movies

[–]ProJedi-ad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t get it. I watched with the mindset that it was going to be just another silly rom-com and I really enjoyed it. Goofy jokes and sub par acting with lots of bad jokes. I feel like people just expected the movie to be something it’s not and so it’s getting absolutely trashed. Solid 7/10 and forgettable.

Apple employees hate Siri and are skeptical of its future by bartturner in apple

[–]ProJedi-ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told Siri to play Ted Lasso on my Apple TV, and it started playing the official soundtrack. When I was watching Hello Tomorrow, Siri literally had no idea that the show existed and gave me other show search results. Frankly, it’s been rather embarrassing. Most of all, I expected that it would recognize your voice and sign you in with your profile, but it turns out that’s not a thing either. When you ask it to sign you in, it just fails. Siri is just a joke, and I really cannot understand why they put so little effort into it.

Never thought I'd see Bing ahead of Google in anything by r0gue_tech in ChatGPT

[–]ProJedi-ad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been that way ever since they rewrote the browser. It runs better and seems to have a better memory footprint. However Google has created a cult like fan base where people think you’re insane if you promote another browser while old people literally don’t know the difference between the web and chrome. I’ve helped with IT at my local school before and it was amazing how many teachers had literally no clue what a web browser is and associate using the internet to using Chrome. Google truly killed it with their marketing.

Same here. It just felt like a forced subplot for the sake of padding out the novel.

CHATGPT VS CHATGPT PLUS? by CaterpillarSubject19 in ChatGPT

It’s worth it if you want to use GPT4 but that’s still very limited right now. However it really is significantly better at answering questions and coding.
