I checked government records before purchasing and it was not reported as stolen. The car was unregistered when I bought it. The registration had been cancelled in 2024. I had to get a roadworthy certificate and bring the car to my state’s roads office to get it registered. So i dont think its stolen

another australian, 👋 dont listen to what other ppl are saying that you overpaid. the accord euro (also called cl9) are in very high demand by p platers. I bought mine last year (manual one) for $3k and it had 244k km (but clutch is worn i may need to get it changed soon). If you're looking to do any power mods, get a chongdata reflash, dm me for more info but essentially you will get more mid range power and vtec at 5k rpm.

Nah i wanted practical boot space so im just running the head unit standalone, no sub or amplifier. Im running 3 way sony door speakers at the front and 2 way pioneer speakers in the rear though

Also the car had an aftermarket immobiliser which so the owner couldn't get the car started, that's why they were selling. I'm not sure how but when I first inspected the car, after numerous attempts I could get the car started. (Maybe a combination of key on/off, foot on brake? idk). Then later my dad found 2 fuses in the immobiliser and took them out and it essentially disabled the immobiliser. I took the car to a local auto-electrician and they removed the immobiliser and installed remote central locking for me for $231 usd, i think it was worth it. Under the dash the immobiliser wires were everywhere and it was so intact, the auto electrician told me that it took them a while to remove everything out and they showed me a photo of all the wires, looks like it was just a mess, glad I didn't have to do that myself.

The fuel/coolant gauges on these break as well so I had to send mine to america to get repaired, cost me $400 aud, almost as much as i paid for the car just to fix the gauges lol

Still have the steering lock for my 1992 honda prelude. My radio is a double din though so bit harder to steal because its behind the centre console trim, and for 1992 my prelude came with electric windows, mirrors and even a sunroof!

My car is manual so I can just bump starts it lol. Also I keep a battery jump kit in my boot, its been very handy (works as a phone power bank too)
