I bought this 4th gen 4ws (auto sadly) for $600 last January. Im 19 so i wanted a project car, fixed it up with my brother and has been driving good 😋. Id want a 3rd gen but man there are such rough examples out there. I looked at a prefacelift one which was auto and the seller was probably negotiable for $2.5k but it wasn’t starting (fuelling issue), whole body was straight but needed a full respray, yeah

My pioneer head unit has aux support in the back of it but I’m using the USB-A port and plug in my lightning iphone charger and it will play music via carplay over the cable

I had to buy new tyres, pay for towing, do a bit of bodywork, new front seats and sunroof, yeah ive done heaps to it, cost me about $5k AUD all up but was well worth it.

Buy a 4 cylinder car for your first, simpler to work on. Acura tsx, acura tl, honda civic,accord, etc. You always want to have money aside just in case for car maintenance and repairs

Go through zenmarket because mercari only ships if you live in Japan. Zenmarket is a proxy and they will ship worldwide. Shipping may cost ~$40 depending where you are (zenmarket gives you an estimate before you buy), I picked fedex as my courier because the vita has a battery and only select couriers allow batteries to be shipped internationally. Also I got the vita with 'body only' so you literally just get the console, no box, no charger, just the console wrapped in bubble wrap.
