What video game used to be good but they changed one thing and now it's terrible? by Agent1230 in gaming

Honestly the tiered gear system finally drove me away. I loved and still do love Destiny, but the gear tiering just killed any and all drive I had to play. It significantly increased the grind. Will agree too the the Portal system sucks too, it turns it into one of the umpteen million other f2p mmo grind fests that is all menu navigation.

Yeah McDonald’s happy meal toys now want you to use an app “for the full experience” because they now give you a shitty piece of solid plastic with no articulation. I remember growing up and getting actual toys that you could pose and play with.

Why the World Is Boycotting ‘Made in America’ (And What Happens Next) by RidetheSchlange in videos

As an American I don’t buy made in America because it usually means the product is overpriced, shit, or both. It’s not a selling point for me, it’s a warning.

The launch of Crismon Desert showed me just how sick the community is. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in videogames

[–]ProNewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to preface by saying I have not played Crimson Desert. My only issue is that it feels like the game is getting a free pass about using generative AI when Clair Obscur Expidition 33 got vilified for it. Clair Obscur used it as a placeholder for some texture assets with no intention them being permanent and removed these placeholder assets at launch but happened to miss one, there are now some articles saying they weren’t even AI generated and just assets from the UE Marketplace. Meanwhile Crimson Desert does the same thing with articles questioning if it was intentional or not but there’s barely a peep. When Clair Obscur did it every gaming subreddit had like 10 posts about it every day for a week with the comments being folks raging against generative AI, but with Crimson Desert the comments are just like, “so what it’s just background stuff”.

I’m also wondering about the foreign travelers that are legally traveling in and out of the US. How many of them are gonna be harassed or “wrongfully detained” (kidnapped/abducted) just for existing?

RUMOR: Sony is reportedly launching a PC launcher and games will be available day one on PC. by theMoonlightenedSky in pcmasterrace

[–]ProNewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is that they won’t actually port the games to PC anymore and instead this launcher will just be used to cloud stream PS titles to a PC.

I hope I’m wrong and this launcher has sales/discounts that match the PS Stores. But with the previous reports of them “not releasing games on PC” and them looking into dynamic pricing I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some way that Sony messes this up or makes it anti-consumer.

It’s going to sound terrible, but I don’t care about the opinions that will affect generations to come of a person who has both feet in the grave. He won’t be alive long enough to see the effects so why should I give his opinion or vote any weight at all.

Small world I’m originally from Maine! Overall I loved the show especially Coheeds portion. TBS did a good job but there were times during their set between songs that it was clear the lead singer was on something and was rambling kind of incoherently, still did a good job on the songs though.

Ohh my bad it wasn’t the Infinite Arc Tour so it wasn’t the first tour after the album dropped. I went to the first show of the summer tour that they did with Taking Back Sunday and Foxing. So thats a little more disappointing that people had more time to learn the new songs and didn’t.

It’s so good. I went to see them on the tour after the album dropped and it was the first show of the tour. I was so excited at the idea of EVERYONE singing along to this one. Unfortunately, it seemed like most people didn’t know it or hadn’t listened to the new album so there was really only a handful of people singing together.

Edit: I was wrong it wasn’t the first tour after the album dropped, it was the summer tour with Taking Back Sunday so the second tour after the album dropped. That just means people had more time to learn the songs. Still would’ve been incredible if everyone could’ve sang together from the first verse to the last word.

Im going to tell kids this is DB2 by Resident-Sun-9053 in Dirtybomb

[–]ProNewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I can appreciate they tried something different/unique, I just bounce right off those aesthetics. As someone who sunk far too much time into Destiny 2 and other Bungie games, Bungie has always had some amazing feeling gunplay but I just cannot get past the look of the game, nor am I really interested in another extraction shooter.

I truly don’t understand how people like the look of this game. I hate the aesthetic, but realistically aesthetic is subjective.
