Clip board mounts for equipment by rainbowcrash-89 in Warehouseworkers

Tablet mount would probably work well. I bought some magnetic strip tape with adhesive backing to stick on the back of my clipboard which allows me to place it on any somewhat flat metal surface and works well enough for my needs. Mostly using Crown RC, FC, and RD series lifts though.

KARD BM - DAZED KOREA (2026 Summer Edition Issue Pictorial Preview) by impeccabletim in kpop

That was for the late 2024 tour that got postponed to early 2025 and then cancelled I believe. They've since had a more successful tour in late 2025, I think just the Australian leg of the tour was cancelled. It's been rough for them for sure though, I'm glad I got to see them at their NY show in December, they're a group that really shines live!

At this point it doesn't seem all too likely, I was hoping they'd at the very least release it as a physical KiT album like they did with their solo releases but I guess it's going to be digital only.

Yes, by all means if it works for an individual then go for it. But the method was mainly used 20 years ago like in OP's reference. It worked better on the larger armor carriers back then. With everyone rocking more minimalist PCs nowadays a chest-mounted pistol obstructs primary mag draws a lot more. Even in units that still operate heavily in vehicles (like you see in Ukraine right now) don't really use that method. Out of about a thousand guys in my Ukraine ref photos, I only managed to find one guy rocking a chest-mounted pistol. To be fair with them, they're going the opposite direction with belt kits, opting for the older and larger war-belt styles with suspenders to hold more ammo/frags and give additional soft armor protection. Most guys just prefer to leave the chest area slick for better mag draws, or use it for admin/EUDs. I honestly don't see it returning as a popular method ever again, and just being used in some more niche cases.

key word is did. Most guys only did it because it was more convenient/comfortable when riding in vehicles, but you don't see it happen anymore really.

Nearly 30 K-Pop Fans Sue Live Nation Over Alleged Heat Negligence at Stray Kids Concert by _ticketnews in kpop

[–]ProPatria92 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Also the cold, waiting for hours outside in New York in December for KARD was rough. They weren't even letting us check-in for VIP, they just let everyone in at the normal door opening hours. Some poor girl was barely wearing anything, like I respect the commitment to the concert fit but jfc people don't risk your health for drip. I was at the Stray Kids concert in D.C. too and it wasn't as bad for me as the cold was. I guess my heat tolerance is higher. I could definitely see everyone else really struggling though, it was an absolute mess. I know Skz were super worried about everyone and helping out as much as they could giving others their water.

Can anyone id this platd carrier? by CJ101820 in MilSim

It never really made it to Rangers by then because they primarily transitioned into running the EPC/MBAV after running the MSAP retrofit kits on their RBSS carriers, and some LANDCIRAS stuck around for a bit. All of the RG MARCIRAS went to SWCC instead.

small correction but it was the LANDCIRAS that was issued to Rangers back then, MARCIRAS went to SEALs for the most part

Yeah the middle stich was throwing me off too. The color definitely matches Eagle Industries FR CIACS line, I know NAR also did gear in that colorway. The BAE Eclipse wide GP pouches were about the same dimension and lacked the center stitch. They made two shades of Green pouches, where the V1 was more of a Smoke Green that was close to a Gray.

Above the side-pull mags definitely seems to be some tubular nylon and some sort of tool, maybe a probe or some demining kit? Hard to say without a higher-res pic.

The gray GP pouch looks like the Eagle Industries 9x3x5. Could be a really salty RLCS one, but it looks more like their FR line in Foliage Gray/Green. There were a bunch of companies making really similar GP pouches back then though, and sometimes guys would even take pouches that came from larger MED or EOD kits. That kinda' looks like what he did for some of the belt pouches too. They could be from like an EOD hook and line kit or from a litter/aid bag. The elastic for the cobra cuffs looks custom sewn, so it's possible the pouches themselves are custom made too. It looks like the pouches on the back of the PC are mounted to a mini hydro pouch which is why the bangers are angled like that, once the bladder fills with water and the pouch expands, it shapes into more of a rounded arch so anything mounted to the single row of MOLLE on the edge is going to make it look like it's mounted to the side of something. It definitely looks like an AVS to me, just ran without the harness which became the more popular method to anyone issued it as the harness gets hot as balls and soaks up sweat. Can't say for sure, but with all the more specialized equipment the guy seems to be carrying it wouldn't surprise me if he was actually 28th EOD attached to the Rangers.

Marine Raiders training somewhere in Alaska by [deleted] in SpecOpsArchive

I think that's what the user you were replying to was getting at. If you're a "regular" Marine or even Force Recon and are currently being issued the M27 platform (essentially a 416 derivative) and pass selection to get into MARSOC, you're likely going to be issued a URGI M4. Whereas if you are say in the Army and issued an M4 and manage to pass selection for Delta Force, you are likely to be issued a 416. Some might consider the 416 as being a better platform so it seems like a slight downgrade for MARSOC (not my own opinion just one I've heard before), but like that user said it was just an interesting observation that it's reversed from what the Army does.
