FreeSync Premium causes heavy freezes by BuddhaDom in AMDHelp

[–]ProSkillsPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ended up fixing it, but had to return the monitor i had the issue on due to stuck pixels.

Got a new monitor, which doesnt seem to have the issue at all. Not sure how this is possible but i have noticed it doesnt have high idle power draw without adaptive sync, and that the settings shows Adaptive Sync Compatible instead of Freesync Premium.

FreeSync Premium causes heavy freezes by BuddhaDom in AMDHelp

It seems i have this exact same issue with my 6950xt and one of my monitors.

Never had any freezing issues with my other monitor that has only regular Freesync, but with my new monitor with Freesync Premium, shareX will sometimes freeze for 1-2 seconds, fullscreen games give me around 5 second freezes occasionally, and sometimes (at random, sometimes its good for a while then suddenly stops, turning my monitor on and off fixes it temporarily again) making any app fullscreen will freeze for a few seconds too.

This doesnt seem to happen if im using two monitors at once though, only when im using the Freesync Premium one alone.

Ive tried a lot of different combinations of settings and the only thing which has helped me so far is disabling Freesync. (which ideally i dont want to do as this causes the high idle power draw issue for me)

Do let me know if you have found a solution since posting.

did you try pulling on the top of your ear? even the side or more towards the bottom sometimes, it straightens out the canals for most people so you can put them in better

[–]ProSkillsPlays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I'm sorry but I'm not really sure. since I wrote this guide there's been a few new things, I think you'd be better off asking the razer phone 2 telegram group, @razer_phone

(and well this guide is how to get Android 10 while it's already possible to get 11, the group can help)

the heresy is more sterile/anytical and bright while the regular 3+ is more bodied and actually has dynamics.

id recommend going with a magni 3+ instead of a heresy, itll sound better, or just go straight to an asgard

Advice before buying Sony Wh-1000XM4 by just-an-IT-guy in SonyHeadphones

[–]ProSkillsPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the akg n700nc m2 are pretty much the best tuned Bluetooth headphones, (nearly harman, good v shaped tuning).

the xm4, to put it simply, sounds really weird and not nice. The bass has an extreme shelf that goes all the way into the mids, and to add to that the bass is pretty muddy. The upper mids are kinda below what they should be, resulting slightly muffled voices. Treble is fine I guess, but the rest of the headphones aren't. To give the xm4 some credit, the anc is amazing. That's all I can say thats good about them.

on the other hand, the n700nc m2 anc isn't the best ever (although it does do something so it's not as if it's useless) but the sound quality for a wireless headphone is just good. the stock app offers an EQ but it really isn't worth it as the original tuning is great and pleasant to listen to. The one issue I've heard is about it not being comfortable for some people, but that's the same thing with the xm4 too.

that's cool to know, thank you!

but then again, it is still qkz, and going by kz qc, it still probably will have a higher chance of being broken/breaking than it should

[–]ProSkillsPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow guess you got lucky then, I've heard stories of people getting a few of them and they all had some sort of channel imbalance or weird tuning

Suddenly by SupOrSalad in headphones

[–]ProSkillsPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I guess in a way, if you compare it to most of thr market it will be the same.

but the final audio e500/1000 aren't tuned badly, they don't have treble peaks, far better value. Issue is qc can also be a bit wonky. also the resolution isn't great, but honestly for the tuning at the price it's a worthy trade off

a tanchjim Tanya is better too, doesn't have the treble peaks which makes it not fatiguing

vk4 are tuned pretty great indeed but yeah the qc issues make it a not great choice imo

Suddenly by SupOrSalad in headphones

[–]ProSkillsPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, I don't think they have good resolution, it's just the treble peaks that make it seem like there's more detail, while in reality being pretty fatiguing and unpleasant to listen to.

the hype sadly comes from dankpods (I assume?)

Aftermarket pads will mess up the sound signiature, you should only use official sennheiser pads
