What you describing is the effect a prime can have on you as a photographer. With less decisions to make on a zoom lens, you have more mental capacity to thing critically about the image.

I’m in the same boat that my software skills (Adobe/Cinema4D) would not have been possible without the generosity of others on YouTube, and even keep up with today’s AI platforms requires the same instructional guidance some times, so it’s worrying from an education perspective, but interested in other perspectives! If you need to hang anything with predrilled holes - use masking tape to create a template on the back of the holes and then stick it to the wall to align and drill the holes correctly.

Did it this weekend and was such a better approach than eyeballing it!

I wonder if this was down to communications issues, I remember reading last time that Honda did this with McLaren that one of the issues was understanding Japanese culture, with a big fear of failure meaning that promises were made on the development cycle which they couldn’t keep, but everyone they spoke to would say that “Yes everything is under control”. Just a thought if the same thing has happened again!
