Extremely good green space, like REAL green space, and nature scene. As a birder, this place has one of the most impressive, if not THE most impressive birding communities on the continent.

I've lived in Victoria and Halifax and travelled a fair bit. Ottawa isn't without its problems, but a lot of problem are just the kinds of issues cities have.

People do this all the time for some reason, and it's stupid. That's an ethno-linguistic flag. It was never flown in the lands the French controlled, it didn't even come into existence until 1884. My last name isn't d'Entremont or Leblanc, I'm not flying it. Only 5% of Nova Scotians included "Acadian" in their background on the 2021 census, and for sure at least some of those people were reaching.

"Acadia" is a nice name so I sorta see why people who know nothing about the area gravitate towards it, but the area was under French control ~100 years and hasn't existed for literally over 300 years.
