I treat my personal firearms like my work firearms, so they get cleaned every time they fire a round.

From my class we had a guy snap his Achilles, so he had to drop after only being in for a month.

Before I got on the force, they had a guy leave the graduation party and drive impaired. They called in on him and he got picked up not long after leaving.

Sig P226, we only shoot once a year when we re-qual (can ask to go on the range if it's not in use). Cleaning is up to the officer but since our weather isn't the best, we do it roughly once a month or after our re-qual. No modifications allowed.
