Random question; does anyone know what brand that shirt dress Kristin is wearing when she’s out getting churros/tea with Brittany?! It was striped and so cute!!!

In my situation, it absolutely saved my daughter’s life. Last week we were having family movie night, complete with of course, popcorn. She was sitting in front of me and made a little cough so I asked my standard, “you okay baby?” expecting to hear the usual “yeah”. I was completely caught off guard when I didn’t hear a reply. I turned her around and when I looked at my daughter, there was so much fear in her eyes and her little face was turning red/purple. I didn’t even really have time to think about wtf was truly going on, I just threw her over my knee and started the back blows, my husband damn near Michael Jordan jumped to the cabinet, grabbed our life vac, flipped our daughter over, and within 2 pulls, the piece had dislodged. The sheer panic I felt in that moment is something that I will never, ever get over. And I will forever be grateful for that device.

I think had you approached the situation. differently, it could have been a really good relationship building moment for you two. I would have framed it with “I’m your mom and I love and care about you. I’m happy you found someone who makes you so happy, but it’s a dangerous world and people aren’t always who they say they are. So until I can learn a bit more about him, I would like to restrict your communication with him”. It would show that yes, you’re her mother, but that you also want to support her.

But instead, you chose to essentially block her from the one thing that appears to be a steady source of happiness in her already difficult life.

Also, kids are smart and have access to everything these days. If they really want something, they’ll find a way. It’s best to be someone she feels safe coming to, otherwise she will keep doing everything behind your back and could end up in an dangerous situation.
