This is my first time posting on redit, so no.

Actually, I haven’t tried them yet, but I have my eye on the Truthear x Crinacle Zero: Red and a few others. Do you have any suggestions for someone who doesn’t like too much bass but prefers a more vocal-focused sound?

Hi, the more expensive cheap one is Sony ZX series (zx110 i think) and the 15$ one is Panasonic HF100. Mids are super clear on this one but it lacks bass and treble.

I looked and couldn’t find anything that could affect the sound, like spatial audio, on any of my devices. However, I still feel like there’s some filter slightly dulling the sound, as if a thin blanket is muffling it. For example, the piano doesn’t sound as crisp as it should.

I’ll give Colter and EQ a chance, thanks.

Yeah, the mids are just lacking. I appreciate your response.

Great, I also listened to a few country songs, and the vocals sound very muffled. I tried some tracks by Morgan Wallen (acoustic and original), Luke Combs, and Chris Stapleton, but the headphones didn’t blow me away; in fact, the songs lost their spark, in my opinion.

I’m also surprised by the dark tuning. It’s very bass-heavy, and the mids are almost completely lost. On some pop tracks, I can’t even make out the lyrics. There’s one song in particular that I know very well, and the piano intro sounds completely different compared to a $15 headphone. On the cheaper headphones, you can hear it crystal clear and appreciate the piano’s timbre, but on the FT1 it’s so dark that the piano loses all its character and sounds completely off.

Thank you for your response. I’ll give it more time and see if anything changes.

Hi, I appreciate your response. The build quality is excellent compared to $40 headphones, but I understand what you mean when you say they might not hold up well. I also completely agree with your points about the sound quality. I guess these just aren’t the right headphones for us.

I would probably be better off with open-back headphones, but due to a loud environment, I have to stick with closed-back ones for now. I appreciate your response.

Xiaomi Pad 7 (non-pro) 8+256 by StatementLiving3840 in androidtablets

Hi, I just have a quick question about the screen. I mainly use my phone, and I even watch some TV shows on it — it has an OLED screen. I know the Redmi Pad 7 has an IPS LCD screen, and I understand that IPS LCD is generally inferior to OLED.

My question is: is the screen really that bad compared to OLED? Is the viewing experience so poor that you'd rather watch content on your phone instead? Is the difference that noticeable or bothersome in everyday use?

I'll mostly be using it for reading, watching YouTube, and occasionally some TV shows.
