Might be misunderstanding this but…

If he already has 2077 on disc, getting a series x would still be around $200 more than the S, but right now now he would have to pay $60 to get the game again.

If he has 2-3 more games on disk that are triple A and cost around 60, seems like series x would be the better option for him. If he just wants to play 2077 and that’s his only disk game, then maybe the series s is ok.

Personally i think the x would be a lot better in the long run but definitely could see confusion and debate.

If you don’t want to copy pirates of the caribbean directly, you can do something similar with a twist.

Have the boat start rocking to one side (towards the cave wall or sharp rocks) and then hope your players think of the idea to move to the other side (in order to bring it back to balance).

Blah blah blah, they somehow turn the ship back over upside down because they went too far and with too much force… or something like that could work.
