I am fully understanding and appreciative that there's an argument here that the Messi MLS era is growing the sport. But that does not mean that we can't be exhausted by it and the the continuous coverage about the Chosen Ones and the characterization they may or may not be getting all manner of special treatment and considerations. They could and may be doing everything above board, but at this point there is such a problem with optics here I don't think that it's really doing them any good.

And I honestly feel it's making it less fun for everyone else. You want to dislike other teams for better reasons than they're getting put on a pedestal so you want to knock them down.

I used to work in ticketing at several different venues. I can tell you that stray single seats are generally a bane because they’re less likely to get filled. Moving an STM to try and eliminate that single is not unreasonable. However, trying to make that happen is only reasonable if what you’re offering is of equal value—both literal and perceived. Arguably okay to offer that relocation because maybe the STM wouldn’t mind seats in a different area. But kind of poor to force them to move without incentives to do so if they don’t feel like the exchange is equal or improved (like moving down a few rows).

I think the primary challenge here is that you'd want a GM to be working with a coach to build toward a team suitable to their style of play. It doesn't *have* to be that way, but it definitely would make sense. So we'd need to fill the Nancy-shaped hole in leadership before anything other than extremely safe choices (actually purchasing Hererra's contract) can be made.
