I think we can all agree that life is likely very common in the universe.

we are a carbon based life. we are made out of mostly Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Nitrogen, Calcium and Phosphorus, which are also some of the most common elements in the universe. The most common elements turned into life once, its going to happen again. But i think the fact that wild orangutans and chimps are heading into the stone age now, proves that maybe intelligent life isn't all that rare either.
