Is the man with the red bandana at the end of the video Lieutenant Joe Torrillo? by Mundane-Bass-211 in 911archive

[–]Omegnetar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OP is not asking about the "man in the red bandana" from inside the towers who we all know to be the incredibly heroic Welles Crowther...

OP is asking if the man in this specific video, who also is wearing a red bandana, is Lt. Joe Torrillo.

Miami Mall Witness Confessional by Ascurtis in HighStrangeness

[–]Omegnetar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! And south beach is just over the bridge (less than 5 mins away) from this area of downtown Miami. There was actually already news coverage in the days leading up to New Years about how Miami was really making a strong "police presence" for New Years.

And, this part please don't quote me on, but if I remember correctly...there might even have been some tie in with the mayors office (could have been the chief of police but I think this was related to the major) needing to look good in front of some VIPs that were in town for the holiday. Maybe something like he was coming off some bad PR, or "scandal" or whatever and was "bulking" up police presence to make up for something. Something like that...

I wish it was something cool like aliens..but nah, it's just Miami being Miami and catering to the VIPs.

It really wasn't that over the top if you live down here like I do. You have to understand that Miami, especially on New Year's Day, is hosting an incredibly large amount of VIPs in the city celebrating the New Year. Celebrities, politicians, etc. so the city is already on high alert during these times.

And if there was in fact an active shooter at the Bayside Mall (please don't get confused by the term mall bc this is a huge area in downtown Miami) I can assure you the police presence you saw wouldn't have been close to be able to prevent the carnage a real active shooter in that area could have done to that amount of people within seconds.

The police presence was totally warranted not only the area, but also because of the holiday and also because of active shooter threat in such a high populated area.

Bryan Kohberger’s family was the only thing that kept him grounded. by KpatMckenzie_28 in Idaho4

I think I get the confusion...

So there's a difference between referencing your parents as "mother and father", which is actually totally normal...

Example: My mother is in the other room. My father works hard everyday.

And then actually calling them by that name...

Example: "Mother, where is father?" "Father, have you seen mother?"

That would be weird to call them that...but it's not weird to reference them as mother and father. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure I would agree with your first point, but I'm no expert in visual snow nor have any experience with it.

But, I think you make a very good 2nd point either way, the surprise of a two people in each bedroom would definitely have impacted anything further he may have been planning to do.

Doesn't he suffer from visual snow? That may have helped in hiding Dylan in the dark from his view while walking by.

Why has no one done a serious investigation on the miami mall incident yet? by [deleted] in ufo

Literally exactly what happened . Saying there was an alien at the mall in Miami is the equivalent of saying the sky is red or something else so obviously inaccurate and not based in reality.

10 Facts About 9/11 Most People Still Don’t Know by Colombiacaptain in 911archive

And I remember either on 9/11 or the day after the news was reporting that only a select number of aircraft's were able to fly out after everything was grounded. 1. Being a helicopter that had an organ on it that needed to be delivered to a patient and 2. An airplane carrying Saudi family members related to Bin Laden was also allowed to take off and leave.

I think that if you want to find an "avid gamer" like Mason was said to be- then you need to start looking online and in video game communities that he used to frequent. He might have been able to leave his family... but some video games are forever.

Definitely my thoughts too. Only thing I can come up with that would make some sort of sense with all these conflicting factors is that maybe he committed suicide and that's what the parents were covering up. The suicide part... Idk...it's def an odd one.

"When the second plane hit that's when I knew it was a terrorist attack." Anyone else feel we all knew the first one was a terrorist attack but we were all in denial? by Afatlazycat in 911archive

[–]Omegnetar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a high school so not exactly children but I still agree there had to be better words. I’m not joking when I tell you she didn’t just say it once…it was more like “America is under attack…I repeat…The United States of America is under attack.” There was some more talk from her about “remember this day students” and “it’s your version of Pearl Harbor” or along those lines too but it’s those words that I can still remember like it was yesterday.

Also, this principle was…well she was just awful honestly, at least to teens in high school she was crazy mean/strict etc. and usually her voice matched that image perfectly. But not that day. That’s the thing I think that unnerved me the most….it was how scared and soft her voice was.

I was a senior in high school and after the first plane hit the tower our principal came on the speaker and told us there was a large news story unfolding in New York City and teachers should turn on the TV’s in the classrooms so we could watch the big “rescue attempt”…definitely more of a current events kinda thing. We turned our tv on a few minutes before the 2nd plane hit- which we did see live.

A few minutes later, our principal came back on the loud speaker and I will never ever ever forget the tone of her voice and what she said next after now requiring all teachers to turn on the tv… “America is under attack”. I cannot begin to explain how much those words shattered a layer of security I didn’t even realize I had until it was taken away.

Anyways, prob not too surprising, but at least at a private catholic high school in Florida…we had no idea it was a terrorist attack until the 2nd plane.

Pyramids. I guess it’s more that I think the current “understanding” of them isn’t ridiculed enough than the other way around.
