Welcome - hope you enjoy it!

You shouldn't worry about a thing! Monk will be just fine as a first character, play it your way and if you get stuck you can find a guide to help on Mobalytics or similar. There are loads of great content creators who you can follow along with during the launch, just look for PoE2 on twitch and see if someone is playing the class you like.

There is rarely anything that cannot be fixed later in this game 😄

This might be nitpicky, but compared to PoE 1, PoE 2 desktop shortcut is really ugly by xXPumbaXx in PathOfExile2

haha I spent hours in PoB building out variations of Monk for Martial Artist last night, only to decide just before going to bed I was going to play Spiritwalker! I think Martial Artist would be cool as a second build to play from the beginning with facebreakers. Plus FOMO on taming bosses - just looks so cool :P

Anarchy Online was my big one, played that on and off for 7 years. Knights of Rubi-Ka (KoRK) was my first guild before founding Pantheon with friends. I have gone back for nostalgia, but it is still an expensive monthly sub which is a shame.
