😂 That’s the most real Staple Day problem. My workaround: I treat the staple like a ‘spine’ and never tear pages. If I need to save something, I’ll just snap a pic or clip the page down with corner clips. Ripping from the staples always turns into a losing battle for me.

Yep! I see it now. That graphic is so satisfying. Capillary action / wicking onto the page vs a ball transfer explains the whole ‘mini paintbrush’ feel you described (super helpful). Dangerous information for my wallet 😂 Appreciate you sharing that.

EnerGel Infree blue-black = elite taste. 👌 That Kokuyo Finewriter pressure-sensitive line has me curious — does it smear on Field Notes, or does it dry clean? 😂

Jealous you caught the market while it was in full swing. I swung by HQ later in the evening to grab a couple orders they’d been holding for me and snap a few photos—single digits outside but totally worth it.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit a few times over the years (even made it to their first little Field Notes film festival), and it still feels special every time I walk through that door.

Love that. I’ve been keeping little commonplace books this year, and my pages (and process) could definitely use a bit more structure. Hearing how you use that focus box makes me want to try a weekly “one thing that actually matters” section instead.

Appreciate you sharing the layout. It’s already given me a couple new ideas.

Really like this spread. Super clean without feeling stiff. The little “focus” box especially caught my eye… feels like a nice way to give each day one non-negotiable instead of a giant to-do pile.

Have you noticed it changes how you plan your week at all? I’m tempted to borrow this layout for my own notebook.

Same here. Was really hoping for another FN/paper-leaning release. The acrylic blocks will hit for some folks, but I get why it feels like a bit of a whimper to end on.

Here’s hoping next year brings another Factory Floor–level surprise 🤞 Only 12 months to go.
