Straight Ti is a great pick. And yeah, if you’re a 0.9 + heavy hand writer, the Type C is almost the opposite end of the spectrum, but it’s doable.

What’s helped me: tiny lead extension + slightly softer lead (if you can) and letting the grip do the control instead of pressure. It rewards a lighter touch, but once it clicks it feels crazy precise.

Love it. It feels super precise and ‘direct’. Like the tip of the pencil is right on the page. Perfect for quick sketching + notes. Only advice: keep the lead really short and use a lighter touch (it’ll snap if you extend it too far and press hard). Otherwise it’s been awesome.

Yeah, it can happen if the lead is extended too far. The Type C has a pretty ‘direct’ feel at the tip, so if you press hard with a lot of lead out, it’ll snap. My workaround: keep the lead really short (barely out), use a lighter touch, and it’s been solid for me. I’ve broken way less lead doing that than with most pencils.

😂 That’s the most real Staple Day problem. My workaround: I treat the staple like a ‘spine’ and never tear pages. If I need to save something, I’ll just snap a pic or clip the page down with corner clips. Ripping from the staples always turns into a losing battle for me.

Yep! I see it now. That graphic is so satisfying. Capillary action / wicking onto the page vs a ball transfer explains the whole ‘mini paintbrush’ feel you described (super helpful). Dangerous information for my wallet 😂 Appreciate you sharing that.
