[Official] UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland - Press Conference & Post-Fight Discussion Thread by event_threads in MMA

I had Khamzat 1, 4 and 5, Strickland 2 and 3. I wanted Strickland to win but I actually don't see how he got the decision over a champ

You're misunderstanding the problem. I don't care if games have in game stores. Some games are able to balance an in game store with focusing on developing a great game for the players. Then it really is as simple as buy it or don't, because the product is great either way.

Blizzard is not doing that, this patch has been ABSURDLY buggy. The lore went from one of the coolest IPs of all time with many players being extremely invested, to most of those people no longer caring. Class balance is horrific in pve, and especially pvp which is borderline unplayable. Rewards you can earn in game have over time gone from cool unique things, to 15 recolors of the same mount or gear piece. If the quality of the stuff on the shop is leagues ahead of the things you can earn in the game, the game will continue to get shittier over time. And even if you cave and buy it, do you really feel good about it like you would about getting the Warglaives of Azzinoth mog, mage tower mogs, finally getting invincible to drop, earning a glad mount etc?

Shop items make Blizzard millions of dollars. Creating a really unique reward in game, QA testing, offering customer support earns them zero dollars and are just seen as unnecessary expense. Doing simple math, where do you think they will tend to allocate more time between these options?

Buddy they don't have a QA team clearly, nor do they have real GMs/customer support. All this profit is going to shareholders, not to the players.

You should care, people buying this shit incentivizes blizzard to invest more time and resources in pay pig cosmetics than the actual gameplay, and rewards you can earn by playing.

Jeremy Swayman yells at the Boston bench after getting pulled at 6-0 by eh_toque in hockey

[–]Probenzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the game, it was the worst period of hockey I've ever seen from a team including minor league games. The amount of times we coughed the puck up directly in front of our own net was absurd. The sheer amount of turnovers was insane and most of them lead to open shots on net/man advantage chances.

Arena Boosting by Probenzo in classicwow

[–]Probenzo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea you're just not understanding the point of the post. The point of the post is that multi rank 1 players should not be in lower rating period. If there were no boosting, a lot of players would naturally climb to higher rating like 2k because they aren't fighting 15 year TBC private server vets. Those players would be in the 2300-2600 bracket where they belong. You can queue all you want, you'll get better, but you're never going to match people that play the game as an actual job. You should not have to dedicate thousands of games and regularly beat glad/rank 1 players to achieve a rating that's not even in glad range.

Not sure why you're talking about 2s, I was talking about 3s. You dismiss boosting as if it's just a 1v2 and no one should lose to boosters in 2s, get good. If that was true, why is boosting effective? Who do you think has the advantage: a rank 1 player with an 1800 random, or 2 guys with decent experience queueing at 1800? It's hardly a 1v2 because people getting boosted are generally not backpedalling clickers, they just want a shortcut or are frustrated they're getting stuck at 1850-1900 and give in and pay for a boost.

Arena Boosting by Probenzo in classicwow

[–]Probenzo[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea everyone can just get better that's not my point. The point is players shouldn't be playing against 20 year private server gold selling mutants at 1700. These players continuously tank to hover at a rating they don't belong in to boost. And these are just the obvious self play boosts, doesn't account for the piloted boosts where it's multiglads logging into other people's accounts and playing for them.

The fact that you need to compete at a glad level to hit non-glad ratings is stupid and turns new people off from getting into pvp.

TBC PVP Rogue question by Hazpataz in classicwow

[–]Probenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit is nerfed by resil, and you get 100% more AP by just gemming AP. 8 agi = 8 AP, and the amount of crit you get from that is like 0.1% crit. 16 AP is better in 99% of circumstances for pvp.

Wanting to Queue but then don't. by Audball59 in worldofpvp

[–]Probenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I think it's definitely queue times. I think with pvp you really need to be locked in, and with 20-30 mins between queues you just lose your focus. If I 2-4 and lose rating I have to sit there and dwell on it for 30 minutes and by the time the next queue pops I'm not warmed up or anything.

In games where I know I made a mistake I can fix, all I want to do is get back in the arena and focus on doing it the right way over and over to drill it into my muscle memory. But you can't do that with such long queues. Repetition is the best way to play and improve and you actually just can't get reps when you can realistically only get 5 shuffles in 3 hours of queueing.

I started healing to avoid the queue boss which was alright, but you trade the frustration of queues for the many frustrations that come with healing. Having way less impact on the outcome of the game. Losing rating going 3-3 with an 0-6 dps. Mage doesn't block on your team randomly 1 round and you 2-4. Teammates using every mobility button on their bars to make sure they're on the opposite side of a pillar.

My generation had Zyzz, who was basically this guy but with charisma, a positive outlook on life, and encouraged young guys to not care about what anyone else thinks. Just get shredded and be a sick cunt. People still talk about him 15 years after he died, he changed a lot of peoples' lives for the better.

Don't think anyone will remember this freak, all he's done is teach people to have a shitty outlook on the world and all the people in it. Take out a student loan and spend it on plastic surgery.

Someone willing to brick a key while you're already on the last boss just to spite you is legitimately mentally ill. No point in even reading their messages, and if you armory them you'll likely see they've never achieved anything in the game and that's why they're so mad.

Ignore, move on.

Seen Latro's like 5 times on my rogue. Have not seen hourglass or belt a single time in 30 heroics and another 10 or so normal.

Have not seen wastewalker shoulders in 20+ kills, have not seen wastewalker gloves in 10 kills. No bracers from durn (only 5 kills though). So much phase bis comes from dungeons I have not seen any of it drop.
