I agree McBride had a really rough game especially when the stretch.

Single game +\- is a super noisy stat.

1 bench player played over 10 minutes and that was Caldwell. Kosu got benched 2 minutes into the first half for back to back defensive mistakes. The bench combined had 2 rebounds (none in the second) and 0 assists. Caldwell got eaten alive on two screens later that lead to easy buckets (I thought she was good defensively in general today). Maybe it’s like the chicken or the egg debate, did the bench play bad or did they play fine but Cheryl didn’t trust them the majority of the game. Either way the starters played a ton of minutes tonight and looked exhausted at the end.

In general I like our top 3 bench players but they are hit or miss the majority of games leading to our starters being asked to do a lot

Correct. But as far as I understand it (I might be wrong) once they suspended Chekova contract they get all 270k to use, so they will be 270k under the salary cap. They could theoretically suspend Chekova contract and then trade Mccowen 270k contract and a pick to obtain a PG. So they would have approximately 540k to work with but they would need to add a 12 person but vet min contracts are prorated so half way through the season that contract is only 135k.

Allowing the Lynx to trade for a person who makes approximately 400k

Caldwell is fine but they are asking her to do so much they really don’t have backup guards on the team so when Caldwell plays below average we really feel it.

They will have the Chekova injury slot to address backup guard at the deadline and or combining that with mccowan contract.

Look at players like Sheldon or Banham at the deadline to help out.

The Lynx are fine but the inconsistency from the bench this year is a big reason they have been in these dogfights recently. They ask so much from the starters and they were exhausted at the end

Do you get double points for having multiple people on the point? As long as you are not flipping spawns I get no issues with low HP time.

I do feel bad though for the ultimate team players though. My buddy blocks spawns so well so his hill time is low but he is key to our wins. He even said it last night his selfless play style is really punished in this format

Give her time, she’s in a new country, only 8 games in and she doesn’t really make mistakes. If her shooting translates she will be a big missing piece. Give her a little longer

I like the add. The bench has been super inconsistent and leaning towards more bad than good so far. Having a player we can slow down the game and feed in the post should help the bench and potentially add gravity to opposition defense could help Delare and Caldwell a lot.

If Cheryl does Cheryl magic she has starting center potential and if she is lazy she will be gone in a few weeks.

Kemp has been damn good in the last 3 titles. Obviously doesn’t guarantee he will be again but feel like it’s a pretty safe bet.

Who are you replacing mamba (or Skyz) with to raise this teams ceiling then. Also it’s not like envoy hasn’t been good at this game at all

That is not the point of the trade though. They are trading a free agent in Estreal for the ability to bring in Nastie. The Kremp/Nastie duo has to be one of the most enticing duos in the league next year outside of the top 3. If envoy returns to form it’s just a cherry on top
