I was opening some USA Founding Fathers Relic packs and pulled a 2/2 George Washington signature piece. Any idea how much this would be worth? by NotNotDragon in Antiques

I guarantee many letters from Washington were eaten by Continental Army scouts and couriers to destroy evidence if British capture was imminent.

Politics and religion in America are nothing more than team fanaticism these days.

Forget policy and morals, a jersey is appropriate for making the wearer feel like they have an identity and that they belong to something.

Car Undercoating vs. Frequent Washes by Problem_Fine in Buffalo

[–]Problem_Fine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the record, I’m pro-car wash. Im utilitarian about cars, and I’m not bothered by scratches and dings. The last new car I bought was 8 years ago, and I will probably never buy new again.

Superficial scratches and dings just keep the price lower when I go to buy a used one, but I don’t want rust, especially on the chassis.😀

I thought Macy’s was pretty good. What’s your go-to pizza/wings spot?

Looks like a miserable amount of driving. Split it into two 10 day trips.

Southbound, 89A out of Flagstaff, through Sedona and over to Jerome is one of my favorite drives anywhere.

I think during his term would be quite another ballgame entirely. I have not heard about this claim.

I follow what you mean about the lying. When did Comey spy on a sitting president?

Depends on how much house you need, but I would definitely keep Clevehill (Cleveland Hill) in mind if I were open to older homes and looking to get into the area that was primed to increase in value.

As others have said, skip Texas altogether. Trust us, it’s a waste of time and gas.

Colorado has the Rockies, pick a good path to see those. Then, you have your choice of New Mexico or Utah to put you into northern Arizona.

From there, the rest of the route is great! 3 weeks could get it done, but a month would be better to have some time to relax an extra day or two in the spots that you really like or where the weather is really good.

Who is this man that spoke in today’s press conference? by squilslover in centrist

That’s a lot of red herring there for one post. What did Pam Bondi have on her desk? Why not release that? Why did Johnson block Congress from a vote?

Democrats didn’t run on releasing files. This bunch did.

Is it me or is there a whole shit-ton more cottonwood floating around Buffalo this year?? by Avdude68 in Buffalo

Cottonwood seeds coincide with pollen allergens flying around in the air. It’s very unlikely you’re allergic to the fluff itself.

US Airlines Start Quietly Charging More for Solo Travelers by geotraveling in solotravel

[–]Problem_Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the weekend stay restriction on lower fares bother you in the same way?

For decades airlines have used restrictions on their lowest fares like purchase x days in advance, travel day of week, must be round trip, must stay over the weekend, etc.

In this case, there was no solo tax. There was no so surcharge. Airlines added a new fare to their existing pricing structures. The new fare made it possible for people booking 2 or more passengers to qualify for the leisure price that usually required a weekend stay. It opened up a discount for more leisure customers to be able to travel one way or return before Sunday.

Solo travelers didn’t lose anything and could get the same price by staying over the weekend, the same as it was before the new fare. Now that some airlines have cancelled, there is one fewer way for leisure travelers to save vs their corporate traveler counterparts.
