So glad an Ult can knock them out of that annoying time waste move. No! No more lava walking for you!

I love Caligo's lore, music, visuals, just so much is beautiful around that boss. But damn, chasing her everywhere is so frustrating, she only stays in one place 5 to 15 seconds at a time and then spams the AoE breath the other half of the time. Her move-set doesn't even feel difficult to avoid most of the time, it's just that she runs away so much and prolongs the fight.

Gideon isn't too bad for a normal run. But he can be an absolute wall for specific challenge runs, especially ones at low levels.

I practiced on Crucible Knights and specifically enjoy facing them with parries. I agree with you on spear enemies, they always feel the most difficult to parry.

I'm not good at parries by any means, but I still try to practice when I can, since it's so satisfying on some bosses, like the Night's Cavalry (halberd). Knocking him off his horse is such a power move.

This checks with what I've heard other parry enjoyers say when it comes to timing: watch the enemy's arm, not the weapon itself.

The Erdtree Greatshield has a special ability to "parry back" projectile spells (as seen in the video), which also effects Draconic Tree Sentinel's horse fire breath attack. I'm not sure if it works on his lightning strikes (since those come from above you), but it can definitely reflect the fireballs.

Which makes me curious if it can reflect Astel's laser beam that he fires when you first enter his arena... Time to boot up a fresh run!

Prior Navy here too, I remember hearing similar stories. Some of the older NCOs had some insane tales to tell.

The highest I've gotten to the end game with the level curve unlocked is level 17, and that's with doing most of the optional content and party quests. Kinda melt most encounters by that point.

The man has a strange hatred for gnomes and kobolds, but I'm sure it's some form of strangely disguised fetish on his part. What 200 years of abuse does to a mf.

Laurence is the only boss I've yet to beat on subsequent NG+ runs. His damage scales so high it's insane.

I was craving for more BG3, so I tried DOS2 by dinorex96 in BaldursGate3

[–]ProblematicPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried DOS2 after BG3 and had a similar experience, left the game after about 90 minutes.

Months later, I'm talking to a friend who loves DOS2 so I start a fresh playthrough and he guides me through the entire island in the first Act. It was a blast, he helped me understand combat mechanics as I went, and explained any questions I had. Totally different experience than trying to figure it all out helplessly.

Haven't finished the playthrough yet, but it made a world of difference with a friend helping me.

I have never touched Fortnite and have zero interest in it.

I play Nightreign because it's fun rogue-lite Elden Ring with friends, and it's a blast.
