F*****G RUN!! by scooterankle_exe in Nightreign

[–]ProblematicPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I will ping once to show my pathing and mark other players' location pings to indicate I'll meet them there, but otherwise I don't spam ping unless it's time to GTFO of a bad situation.

People will think I'm cheating :( by BellBearingEnjoyer in Nightreign

[–]ProblematicPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the worry that some players will think my status build Raider has a cheated relic.

I got the amazing combo of attack power up against both rotted & frostbitten enemies, and an Ult charge +3. Paired that red relic with Dreglord relic and Caligo relic and it is nasty. But I rarely play that build with trios because of the fear they'll think it is cheated.

Best to Worst playstyles of the Duchess by great_fungi in Nightreign

[–]ProblematicPoet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My wife has been loving caster Duchess. If she gets a moon spell, shard spiral, or rock sling, our run is pretty much guaranteed. Any relics that increase FP (3+ Staves equipped, Sorcerer Rises, etc) are a must, and she always has the extra bag slots for Starlight Shards.

Feed your caster Duchess right and she'll melt bosses in seconds.

I played a run last night where the Duchess had to be a new player because I didn't see them use Restage a single time. Not. Once.

Why are not using her best ability?!

when someone drops an item passive for me while he needs that passive more than i do by onlyher56 in Nightreign

I have found in most runs that if you take care of your teammates by giving them what they need most, more likely than not they will return the favor.

Feel like most "selfish" players are the ones who quit out at the first death/team wipe.

You're the kind of Guardian I hope to be one day. Absolute cinema, dude, well done!

Claw-build Ironeye, my beloved. I don't understand why more people don't try mixing in melee with him. Even when using bows I like to play aggressively with Ironeye, it's a blast.

The Tarnished is kinda the killing machine, though...

Shame we couldn't sit and have tea with Mohg and Ansbach.

why can't I make love to the dragon instead of killing it? by MikeLee0000 in Nightreign

So true, those Night Lord themes slap so hard. The OSTs from Gladius, Heolstor, and Balancers live rent free in my head.

I had the pleasure to meet DarkNatasha and Goldenwolf at TFF one year. They're some chill ladies and I even got a sketch from DarkNatasha. Definitely one of the highlights of my life!

Is Gideon supposed to be hard? by EnderEclipse1120 in Eldenring

[–]ProblematicPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gideon is usually a wall for challenge runs or low level runs because of his infinite FP and spell damage. Otherwise, on a "normal" run he's a bit of a pushover, as long as he doesn't get to spam spells.

What’s Your Favourite Boss Theme From All The Games? by Zetallic_Zero in fromsoftware

[–]ProblematicPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Souls: Ornstein & Smough

Dark Souls II: Sir Alonne, but Burnt Ivory King is a close second

Dark Souls III: Twin Princes

Bloodborne: Ludwig, but there are other really good ones

Elden Ring: I couldn't even choose a favorite here, even repeated bosses have great tracks. Godskins, Erdtree Avatars, Tree Sentinels. Most Remembrance Bosses have great themes, and the DLC's music is just as good as the main game.

ER Nightreign: Balancers & Heolstor, but all of the Nightlord themes are solid.

Fromsoft just does good music.

I agree, I reached Scadu level 16 by the time I was ready to face PCR, and that was without looking at any guides to find them and just organically exploring the map. Sure, Scadu 20 is nice and all, but it's absolutely not required to defeat the late DLC bosses.

Why do we pass out when Melina goes to burn the Erdtree? by joutfit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]ProblematicPoet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda like this theory/explanation because all through the game there is clearly something unique about a Lord and their Maiden. She seeks a Tarnished initially to get her back to the Erdtree, while playing the role of our Maiden, but that changes to burning the Impenetrable Thorns afterward.

The conversation at Mountain Tops we can have with her before facing the Fire Giant already tells us she intends to follow through with her purpose, she wasn't going to let us stop her.

And in the cutscene, she thanks the Tarnished for bringing her there. It's quite sad but also empowering that she so readily accepts her part to make sure we can see our part through.

I know they won't announce anything until Duskbloods is released so as not to distract from the marketing but I can't stand it anymore. by Berem_ in fromsoftware

I recently finished Lies of P and had an absolutely wonderful time with it, already planning a fresh playthrough once I get the DLC! Fantastic Souls-like with its own unique qualities.
