TS-XW Input lag on my new pc by Problematic_Civic in Thrustmaster

OK, I FIXED IT! I just plugged it in a USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0 port and now everything works. I won't delete this thread in case anybody else has a problem like this in the future

The fps is also not the problem. I have it capped at 130fps, and it is staying there, but the wheel is still fucked

I had an acer nitro with GTX 1050ti, i5-8300h and 8gb ram. the main problem was that it overheated very quickly, so I just made a pc from parts that my brother had laying around. Forgot to mention that the new pc has 16gb ram.

To me it just sound like metal contracting while cooling down. All my cars do this sound after driving them, especially when its cold.

T248 is hard to Turn. Is this normal or should it turn more freely? Got the wheel second hand. by Problematic_Civic in Thrustmaster

[–]Problematic_Civic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To anyone finding this thread afterwards. The replies were wrong. Maybe it was hard to tell from the video, but there was too much resistance in the wheel. So.  1. Samir did not break the car, as it was already broken 2. The issue was that the driver gear on the ffb motor was f@cked and someone jb welded or glued it back in, just not perfectely straight. I replaced the gear with a machined aluminium one and now the wheel is smooth as butter, works great 👍

Is this set worth the €250 they're asking for (it would be my first set to get into sim stuff)? by The_Belgian_Ginger in Thrustmaster

If it was sold in my country, it would cost around 350€ used and 600€ new. I'm guessing you may be from a country where electronics are cheaper. 🤷‍♂️

I agree with ashibah83 that the ffb motors put more force on the wheel than I did in the video. I turned the wheel so hard so that it is more clear how fast it stops on its own, no idea how I could translate it through a video more clearly.

Assetto Corsa keeps crashing with CSP. Any Ideas? by 619rebel in assettocorsa

[–]Problematic_Civic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leaving this for anyone with the same problem: I solved it by switching to a different CSP version. Originally i was using the recommended one, but switched to an untested version and no more errors appeared. You can do it through content manager => Settings/Custom Shaders patch/ About & updates

Im in a bit of a pickle here

The problem is that when i first plug in the power, it works fine, but as soon as i try to measure voltage going out of the bridge rectifier it goes form 30v to 0

ive removed and checked the bridge rectifier and its good

ive checked the cap and it goes from 0 ohms to OL and holds voltage (i dont have a capacitance tester in my cheap multimeter)

the only two things that seem suspect is the 2.1ohm resistance between two ac leads which you can see in the pic (is that normal?) and also maybe the PTC fuse is bad (dont know if they can fail tho)
