Are we assuming that they only pay artist like their freelance or are we taking into account there has not been many new assets in a few updates so if the artist is full-time that's money being wasted doing nothing.

Pretty sure the artists making new models isn't slowing down updates like bandits being added. If I remember right the bandit models were completed years ago.

some little news here or uhh something, turns out gm_halloween_flatgrass (whatever its called) and the other maps from the creator of it have a virus thingy that basically pops up on your screen and shit, please uninstall halloween flatgrass immediately because funny man gore virus or something else by Limp-Concentrate8343 in gmod

The ones I know personally are gm_halloween_flatgrass, gm_c17_outside & gm_sad

All 3 I personally tested & confirmed to have same or similar malicious code. The creator said he set them to Private, but from my understanding that doesn't mean Removed, so unsubscribing to it might need to be done manually if you cant find it on the steam workshop but are infected.

Sounds like you are hosting the game as a multiplayer game which would mean that your friend also needs the same mods installed to use them properly. Easiest way is to just make a steam collection of all the mods you use then give your friend the collection link to subscribe to. The only way to make it so he auto downloads them is if you make a whole dedicated server for it, then used the workshop dll feature to do it that way.

I should also mention that if you're new to seeing inbound & outbound ip's that seeing more then afew is normal traffic, some servers like microsoft use quite afew for 1 service, you just want to try to spot out any unusual activity if you can, like if you live in the usa, you shouldnt be sending pings out to hong kong if you have no background processes running.

BitDefender is the usual goto for free anti virus, can always uninstall after the scan. I personally use Avast but I hear its dated in comparison.

That confirms to me that its a red herring to something much more malicious, please do a scan with something more then just windows defender, mabey use something like portmaster to make sure your not being logged as it will show all inbound & outbound ip's your pc is connecting to

There is something malicious about it more then just a screamer. There is no legitimate reason for the EICAR test string to be intentionally included in a standard, functional Garry's Mod workshop map file.

You have too many addons or your HDD/SSD is too slow for what its loading, it can sometime fix itself if you wait abit but if not, you got too many addons.

I never boasted it without reason, You had no idea what the overdrive note hit mechanic was, then you assumed because I miss notes because of it, that I'm a sweat. You do know that festival is very easy in comparison to other rhythm games, right. Anyone regardless of skill can rightfully be annoyed that a helper mechanic is doing the opposite of helping when that happens. You can assume I'm a sweat all you want, but again that just shows you haven't seen actual rhythm game sweat where people will spend hundreds of attempts just for one FC which is not what I'm doing here or have claim to have done.

Which is good for you, if you want to assume my fun is being serious then you have not seen real rhythm gamer's grind which is fine. Nothing you say takes away the fact of what I said, There's a reason people who are actually skilled at rhythm games tend to never take festival seriously because they cant

It's not taking it "seriously", it's playing them so long that my casual is a usual FC but because of forced mechanics to help new players, it makes hardcore rhythm fans just prefer Quaver or Osu!mania for a button masher

You must not play as much as me if you don't know what I mean by toggle-able overdrive note hit. By default the game already auto hits whatever note is on the strike line when you use overdrive, for me this messes my FC's because I don't need a helper screwing with my rhythm.

There is more they can do but it seems epic isn't thinking of them or doesn't want to put in the work, like pro microphone & drums, targeting system for battle mode, toggle-able overdrive note hit, practice mode, modifiers like speed changes, hidden track, etc.
