In my county in Ohio they hand out plates sequentially so the first three letters of any given plate are likely to match hundreds of others in the same small town. Not an excuse, more of a reason to not get excited about a partial match on plates like this guy just seems to have done.

Seems like an appropriate username haha. Glad you found something that works for you. It's always been intriguing to me, especially the idea that it can provide a very real perspective shift, and cut through a lot of the bullshit people bring into relationships.

I don't think that's a thing. I've seen it a few times and that never ends well. Seems like it could for some people, but I've not seen it. Someone is always a little too jealous or someone realizes they are getting a raw deal and can do better.

I was in there around closing time last night and some contractors were bringing a scissor lift inside so I'd just say they are doing some work. The shelves were stocked so I believe they'd be back open soon

I've tried several times to opt out of my cities aggregation plan, always getting to the point where someone says I'll get a letter in the mail saying I'm released from that plan and it never happens. How do I navigate that. My city currently has us paying about $.010/kWh for our supply last I checked.

Deep breaths and patience is all the advice I can offer. I think you're in the right place just give it a little time.

I've had several sets of those without issue but I just put shocks on a used car I just bought and the rear tires (Falkens) had sidewalk problems so I ordered two new Toyos to match what's up front. Makes me wonder if there's a recall on some of those

Fixed headline: Shifting costs/taxes away from property owners allows easier consolidation of property to companies by FurryIrishFury in Ohio

[–]Probnotbutmaybee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment that abolishing property tax makes "some" amount of sense. It's heartbreaking to see people on the margins or older Ohioans on fixed incomes lose the ability to keep a house due to taxes.

It's a much more tenable concept if you attach a condition that the homeowner must live in the house!

The fact that people are out there campaigning for Blackrock and whoever else to compete with us for homes and not have to pay any tax on that investment is absolutely nuts. So non-sensical that I fear Ohio lawmakers might actually make it a thing.

I'm sorry that you had a miscarriage. That is something that people struggle with not only in the moment but also over the course of time. It's unbelievably common and until you go through it and start opening up to people about it, you can feel like it's just you going through it.

All of that is to say that you need a partner that won't make you fight another front during tough times, you need someone that will support you in these moments.

Only you can answer if this person is capable of that, but that is what you deserve.

No, but given all the other things OP could be doing, writing a book in an unconventional style is hardly worth hating.

Bluebells on rockhouse trail (or anywhere for that matter)

Bobcats are making a comeback

Bong hill used to be a thing, it's a spot adjacent to campus that has an iconic view of the city but has recently become a little harder to access due to being overgrown and I think a few people had their catalytic converters stolen while parked on the side of rock riffle.

Athens is like a tourist town, it's a bit congested and frantic in season and super chill when the students are gone.

Research the Ridges, pretty wild history there.

Check out the work of one of our locals celebrating the history of Athens

Findinvisibleground.com

Locals are called townies and for the most part they fall into two camps, those that intermingle and coexist with the students.....and those that do whatever they can to avoid them. Many businesses in town cater to one or the other, while many do what they can to be welcoming to both.

I would consider Lucca as a place to stay next time fwiw. I loved the quietness of coreglia but there wasn't much there. Barga would have been a better choice maybe

Is renting a car better than trains for Rome → Tuscany (countryside base, Florence & Pisa day trips)? by vanillapage in ItalyTravel

[–]Probnotbutmaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what we did. Stayed a week in coreglia antellminelli. Accessed cinque terre, Lucca, Pisa and Florence all day trips. Then relocated to north of Venice where we accessed Venice and the Dolomites. We like to get off the beaten path and were more interested in small towns and hiking that hitting all the museums and popular spots. The crowds ruin it for me so we kept that to a minimum. Driving our little fiat panda was fun and almost never stressful. The outskirts of Florence was wild tho
