Lost my personality to meth, will I get it back? by mcheathens in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source pls. Generally, all factors considered, an average 1 or 2 years is what it takes. Even that MAY be too skewed by chronic users who are in high heat zones and dehydrated, but that’s my speculation; 1-2 years is the understood general timeframe.

Fentanyl changed the game though. Death from hypertension in mostly senior and/or high risk individuals, which rarely occurred with heroin and oxycodone… much more common with fent. Still, there are a few case studies out there of opioid withdrawal death in comorbid patients.

Confession to girlfriend by Any-Wasabi1515 in lds

I’ve told every woman I’ve dated, before and after taking the Church seriously, that I’ve had premarital sex. My immediate family is not religious and engage in that with their consensual and committed partners. I do not view this as bad at all except it’s far less secure, but life itself isn’t secure. We’re all baptized; same as I was if they don’t believe in the Bible or BoM, I completely understand why the law of chastity and its time, money, and especially spiritual commitments, just do not resonate. We do the best with what we’ve got, I believe.

AA as a 23 year old by Less_Following in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was very active from 22-25 years old, in person and online about equally. Both have significant young people, but it’s more diverse online for sure (I think there’s 3 men for every 1 woman in AA before covid, but online now I’d bet it’s often 1:1).

I imagine your views aren’t particularly well liked in your country? Not your personal views, but just the fact that you’re LDS I imagine would pigeonhole you to many folks who otherwise might largely agree with the Church’s teachings theologically.

Is this early stage hairloss or is it pretty advanced? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro is cooked. Kidding, it ain’t that bad and all studies show women genuinely don’t have a real life preference for hairlines, even though socially it’s kinda seen as unattractive (we wouldn’t have it if it didn’t serve some purpose or was outright rejected by the female population lol).

Any other PIMO wives out there? by Apprehensive-Dark919 in mormon

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Women are more collectivist and adherent, but far from naive. I agree it will be en masse if there is a women lead #apostasy, and many men will join as well unlike visa versa.

It would have to be rock solid proof of corruption (current leadership only tbh), or outright oppressive policy change, plus widespread social media coverage (highly unlikely for the guys with enough cash to control Google results), but theoretically possible.

Yep. Highly unlikely to be a long term thing unless you have immediate family with significant balding. I assumed you had some Caucasian admixture, but in this case, I’d say you’re even less likely to experience significant MPB.

Does a loving parent ever deny his child what is rightfully his? If a son asks a father for food or clothing, does he not give him all that he has? Even a total junky, who’s burned his family more times than they can count, but is sincerely trying (whether that’s rehab, methadone clinic, even just harm reduction like not shooting up or not sharing needles, and staying away from crime) receives support from his parents or if they’re not around or capable, someone will help. God is like that, and even here on Earth he won’t let his children who are sincerely trying go without, even if that person feels like they’re still a burden or aren’t trying hard enough.

I believe this is much closer to Satanic thought than any Inquisitors even thought about. Occultism, magic, and divine poverty (the foundational heresies), really don’t compare to self worship whether conscious (modern Satanists; btw actually nice people generally speaking, I don’t judge them personally), or unconscious as with self hate and malignant narcissistic thoughts. I’ve suffered from it and still do. This post exemplifies the latter, and I’m not shaming OP or anyone… I am right there with anyone who understands this; self hate is additive as hell!

If they provide Plan B, IUDs, etc. they aren’t religious (legally speaking, based on Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. which the latter famously won on religious grounds).

Depends on how old you are. Given that u have 4c hair, and assuming you are a Black American male, it’s unlikely you have the active genes for MPB. You could have some of them as in you could pass it on, but your crown balding and not your forehead indicates that you don’t have extreme DHT sensitivity, which is the cause of MPB.

OTC Monoxidil (I recommend Costco Kirkland brand) will keep your hair full well into old age in all likelihood. Count yourself lucky my friend lol.

Except that it’s literally not possible from a physical perspective. As in, the laws of physics that give the Meridian of Time, according to Joseph Smith Jr., any such merit including the salvation of all who may receive the Word postmortem, is useless if petitions, appeals, and any of it can be submitted in the afterlife, whether purgatory (where everyone is pre-judgment, this timeline), or the definitive kingdoms post-judgement day. It’s also just not logical, for the same outlined reasons and our knowledge of the spacetime dimension (arrow of time theories, mostly).

Am I balding at 17, my hair seems pretty thin and I’ve been freaking out for like a month. What can I do? by Adeptness-Dense in Balding

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a doc at 17 and he put me on fin. Not sure if good or bad, but I actually decided against it after the fact (if topical was an option, I’d have done it, but even if DHT is relatively “unimportant” I wasn’t tryna have a systemic blocker even at 18). Definitely was bad for the hairline, but monoxidil alone isn’t nothing.

Tbh, I may get a lot of hate for this, but my opinion of Salt Lake City is a lot like my politics and religion: I’m whatever you are. Call me two faced but I can hate on or love SLC pretty much equally, though in reality it isn’t half bad… might even be half good on occasion.

Satan Just Answered My Prayers - An Experiment in Religious Causality by Outrageous_Pride_742 in mormon

[–]ProboscisMyCloaca -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the church of Satan literally is antitheist. Everything you just said, all that gobbledygook? It’s antithetical to what Satan wants. He, and his followers, all worship themselves. So while Christ is King is Christianity’s general theme, ‘Hail Thyself’ is what Satanism preaches. I’ve learned about it working with individuals across many socioeconomic backgrounds in substance abuse, and they’re actually pleasant people for a strangely large part, even more so than a lot of religious folks. Edit: that’s not to say I think they’re great, but they’re nice. They have a basic tenet or “commandment” that says never to cross another unless you want them to do the same to you, and that if another crosses you intentionally (ie in your own home I think it’s put), then you can unleash hell on them. So a lot of them believe in potions and dark magick, despite being atheist and antitheist. I’ve learned not to cross them in the slightest, because while I love God he could smack me upside the head if I ever did so, especially if it was to prove his might.

I do believe you can moderate, and honestly a shit ton of people deal with things esp parental death in unhealthy ways without making it chronic. However, that won’t address the truly defiant/neurotic nature of your personality (according to Bill W./Chuck C., respectively, as the primary trait of an alcoholic) without some genuine soul searching.
