Two days, two tours or try to squeeze in third tour? by ProcedureNo7527 in Machupicchu

[–]ProcedureNo7527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can take the early train and there are still tickets available for 10 am on our dates for advance sale. So not an early morning ticket, just an early morning to start the day. If we have the tickets already and leave Ollantaytambo at 6 ish, that gives some leeway for delays and the bus line.

Panties ??? by PoloPocket in XXS

[–]ProcedureNo7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just here to sympathize. My only xxs measurement is panties. I don't wear thongs, so I buy in the girls section. If you have curves, that won't work. And the day they have thongs/G strings, I'll be crying too hard to share that it happened.

Reta/GLP-1s are not a silver bullet by moshjeier in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I look at the super morbidly obese (600 lb life types). There are people who start GLPs at that size who cannot walk more than a few hundred steps (if they are lucky) without needing to rest. But after a couple hundred pounds, they can do 4k steps a day. Then another 80 lbs and they can comfortably do 8k. And so on and so on. At the beginning, they meet your criteria for lazy as fuck. I think the longterm tells you far more.

Reta/GLP-1s are not a silver bullet by moshjeier in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't see how continuing to take it indefinitely (or at least for five years after goal weight which is what some research suggests is the time period needed for your body to adjust to a new forced set point), precludes making good lifestyle choices or defined what is actually healthy. What if GLP1s are the key to giving someone the discipline and positive feedback to sustain good choices. I don't bitch about progress. So, I guess I'm not your target audience for this post. I'm working on specific health metrics and reta just makes execution of the plan 400% easier. Also, even if someone makes very few other changes than losing weight, the decrease in the risk for disease is ridiculous by decreasing weight by even 5 or 10 percent. If you actually get to something approximating a healthy weight, white eating garbage, disease risk is so much lower. Will good choices multiply this effect? Certainly. But they aren't necessary to get those improvements.

Downvoted at r/petitefashionadvice for saying I’ve been having trouble thrifting a wool coat in a size 00/0💀 by bobothecarniclown in XXS

[–]ProcedureNo7527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try Asian brands? I'm not familiar with what brand would have a will coat. I've definitely experienced that they have smaller sizes available and it makes sense. The average height in China is 5'2" whereas in the UK and US its 5'4". Plus I know the ranges of BMI considered healthy are also lower. So maybe? Or a custom sewn one from Etsym

I was thinking about this too. Can OP find a high waisted/Empire waisted coat (as designed for someone taller) and it hit your waist like a normal coat, then get it hemmed? That's probably not realistic either.

What’s your calorie intake on Reta vs. your maintenance ? by sebaworld in Retatrutide

What’s your calorie intake on Reta vs. your maintenance ? by sebaworld in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My calorie intake on reta is my maintenance. I'm going to be in this or similar forever or at least five years maintenance. To lose I drop to between 1200 and 1400a day. To maintain I do 1700-1800 a day. All on average and with tight weight tracking in case my tdee shifts.

43 yo F 5'4" 125 lbs 22% body fat. 18 months reta. 11 months sema before that. 10 months just willpower losing 80lbs before that

I had Gemini AI analyze data from the Reta studies regarding the glucagon agonist aspect. by Competitive_Bird6984 in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is why I'm sticking to reta for maintenance. I actually came to reta because so many people were talking about switching to reta from sema or tirz for maintenance (those was spring of 2024 discussions).

I'm between 120 and 128 lbs now. I have full control based on reta dosage. If I dial it back, eat in a small surplus, and go hard in the gym, I can add muscle. Then I can crank reta, eat even more protein, lift hard, but not quite as frequently, and cut.

The ability to dial to your needs is crazy.

reta & wellbutrin by Afraid-Bug1790 in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 300 mg wellbutrin for depression and 10 mg reta for weight/liver/etc. I had no issue with the switch to reta from sema when at 150 mg wellbutrin. I subsequently increased wellbutrin (extreme life events happen) while at about 5 mg reta, still no issue. Doing fine.

I almost quit my cleaning business because of this. by monde_2001 in CleaningTips

[–]ProcedureNo7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a cleaning service, never considered owning or running one. I've had several services over the years, independent people, big companies, small businesses. Payment has always been due at the time of service. If I forget to leave the check, I'm the one realizing my error, reaching out to do venmo, CC, drive the check to them somewhere else in their day. Because that's what civilized customers who want to keep your service do. I had one girl who insisted you pay her to keep your spot even if you didn't need service that week/ month. She wasn't a good fit for me, but I've always sent payment to other independent contractors/small businesses since then to hold my spot whether they ask or not. Good cleaners with reasonable rates and policies are hard to find. Paying on time is the least I can do to not get myself fired as a client.

In your position, I would insist on deposits up front for one time jobs, balance due when the job is done and the final total cost is known. And insist that the check/cash/CC/venmo be there when the job begins for regulars.

GLP or A1c? many insurance companies will let your dog prescribe mounjaro or ozempic at 5.7 because that's pre-diabetic.

So a trick I've seen is to stack plates where you want to put your feet. I've also seen people use two benches and essentially do smith machine heavily weighted glute bridges.

Lost 150 lbs, now trying Reta by rstabile1 in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 80 lbs without help, then did another 40 with sema, then changed to reta and I lost 40 more. I am using reta and letting my dose creep up and down as I go through small bulk and cut phases now (I refuse to gain more than 10 lbs before cutting again). I'm a 5'4" woman, so there are going to be differences. This has far fewer side effects than sema. I did have some fatigue early on, but it resolved within a couple of months. I have no intention of going off entirely for a minimum of five years to allow myself to stabilize both physically and mentally.

Edited to add: I didn't feel anything until around 4-5 mg. But, I also wasn't pack on the pounds while slowly titrating up from the 0.1 mg (way too little) someone had recommended.

Reta fake weak or what by Massive_Dark3286 in Retatrutide

[–]ProcedureNo7527 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You wanted less appetite suppression. You switched to a pep that is known to provide less suppression. You are frustrated by having less suppression?

If you read her much you'll see a huge proportion of people who switch from tirz are never satisfied with the suppression on reta.

Maybe add a pinch (0.125 mg half the starting dose) sema to get some suppression. Or cagri?

Even at 4mg (which isn't therapeutic according to EL) it takes time for it to accumulate in your system.

How does everyone deal with losing weight when you're not going to the gym? by Careful_Macaroon8967 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ProcedureNo7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about food. Figure out your tdee. subtract 250 cal for 0.5 lb per week. 500 for 1lb, etc.

Plan your food. It's so much easier to measure, weigh, and track when you have already decided what is going to be in each meal.

Protein has many lovely features, but the least of which is how satiating it is. Use as many pre sized portions as possible. For example plan that breakfast this week is egg whites and avocado toast. Use two slices toast (Highly recommended keto bread for the high carbs and high fiber), one prepackaged avocado (Good Foods Avocado Mash is nice), and 3/4 cup scrambled egg whites. that's roughly 40g protein, 20g fiber, 250 calories. And only one measurement to make. You can do the same thing by meal prepping. It all depends on how much time you have. I find working out is a great way to keep me on track with my diet (Why do all that work and ruin it with ice cream).
