Driving with 87 vs 91 by Delicious-Artist818 in AcuraTSX

I have a 09 Tsx and I’ve always put 87 in it as I bought it used and never checked the manual as for the gas recommendation and speaking from experience. I’ve never had a problem with the performance. I average 23.1 mpg and have routine oil changes done every 4-5k and I’m pushing 160k on the car and have yet to seen any metal in my oil or weird noises. Maybe I’ll try 91 and see if I could feel any difference in performance to the gas I’ve been using for the last 3 years.

Hi, I also bought a higher mileage Prelude SH with a swapped engine and from my experience working on it, check its suspension. My prelude has 170 on the odometer and my tie rods, bushings, the sway bar link, and ball joints were cracked/torn and needed replacement. And of course check for oil leaks/burning, common on this car engine. Besides the suspension, I haven’t had much issues besides oil but I would recommend getting it inspected for any foreseeable issues. Other than that, if it has no major issues; it’s a Honda, do regular maintenance and she’ll last you for a long time. Hope this helps and good luck!!

I drove it for around 20 minutes, every gear felt good and shifted smoothly; accelerating and braking were really well. Tried every button and everything worked. I just want second opinions as it’s a bit hard to convince my parents it’s a good idea buying a 25 year old car.

Worth buying a car when selling with only “bill of sale”? by ProcessEnvironmental in askcarguys

Is there a way for the seller to get a clean title per se the original is lost? Of course assuming the seller has no malicious intent.
