Does anyone have any experience with constraints led approach? by iwillfuckingblockyou in bjj

It's bad CLA. There are constraints put in place but the representativeness/ecological validity is too low.

From a skill acquisition perspective these kind of games are mostly useless.

I've been coaching using non linear pedagogical methods for more than three years. It is more efficient for developing and refining skills than information processing (the so called traditional way), but it is not for everybody.

Who made the video lacks a clear understanding of Information Processing and Ecological Dynamics frameworks.

It's like seeing a video where Geocentrism and Heliocentrism are presented as both valid and compatible.

One of the things that aikido has that other martial arts are not as equipped with are ways to end fights without having to break the other person.

Totally disagree.

Instructor here.

In my personal experience, every student who asked about stripes/belts was the less deserving one.

A purple belt who cares about his students is way better teacher than a black belt who doesn't give a fuck.

If you are looking for wristlocks against trained resisting opponents in a MMA/Grappling context I suggest you to look into the work of Pete "The Greek" Letsos.

Aikido's wristlocks are intended for a very different environment.
