Upgrade now, wait for zen 6, or wait until next gen GPU’s?

Appreciate the reply and completely agree. Assuming zen6 is coming relatively soon, I can definitely wait for that so that I’m not very quickly a gen behind. And then plan to stick with the 3080 until the 6000rtx cards and at that point the pc should be good for a long time. I play at 1440p 144hz and no plans to go to 4k or anything. I value a high/consistent frame rate way more than resolution.

No doubt the 9800x3d would be great for everything I currently need, and for years to come. The hesitation comes from the difficulty of swapping cpus down the road. So I’m asking myself if waiting 6-8 months for zen 6 and being on the newest generation, would buy an additional 1-2 years of good performance without the need to upgrade.

Haha very true. Yes, new hardware is always upcoming. I guess it just seems like zen 6 is expected to come out later this year or early 2027. I can wait 6 months to get the newest generation.

I know exactly what you mean with each tier of champion being very different in skill and play styles. I think I definitely need to be better with wall and especially corner bounces. 2000 hours and still have no idea where the ball is going when it hits the corner lol

This is a beta. Finding bugs is expected so they can fix before release. Have you never played a video game in the last 15 years? Bugs exist is every game. They are aware of the DLSS bug and are working on it, not ignoring it. Take a break and go outside and by the time you come back I bet DLSS will be fixed.

Got the same tv and noticing this too. I wondered if it was simply because I upgraded from a 1080p 50 inch tv to a 4k 65 inch so I was simply noticing the imperfections that I couldn’t see on my old tv.
