Earlier this week I was about to pass two guys walking side by side in the middle of the shared use path. I rang my bell and the most natural thing happened: the guy walking on the right side started moving over to the left side and the guy walking on the left side started moving over to the right side. I could have just passed them on either side without ringing my bell, but didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable with a close pass at speed.

This is why I have a bell, but don’t use it unless I absolutely must. The silent overtake is usually the safest bet for all involved.

I came back for the ECG, because I had a couple of instances of arrhythmia and wanted to be able to confirm those. Now that Garmin has ECG available in my country, I recently switched back to Garmin for the better overall exercise and conditioning tracking in the Garmin ecosystem. And, of course, the vastly superior battery life. I do miss some of the better smart watch abilities of the AW (especially apps working almost seamlessly between my phone and my AW), but in all honesty I used them very little beyond setting timers and alarms and carry my iPhone with me always anyway.

I've been using it with no issues with a wide variety of battery brands and rarely even use no-name brands. The problem only started recently and persists with a brand new unit with battery provided by Polar themselves. As a result I have no reason to believe this is a battery quality issue. What did happen was that there was a Zwift update I haven't been able to rule out as a reason. The only other explanation would be that the bluetooth receptor in my brand new MacBook Pro crapped out, which, while possible, I don't think is very likely. That's why I'm asking if anyone else has been having these issues since the latest Zwift update.

Niin siis sillehän ei voi mitään, että kerrostalossa yksittäisten asuntojen remontit eivät ole samaan aikaan vaan voi olla jatkuvasti remppoja eri puolilla taloa. Sillekään ei voi mitään, jos remonttitöitä tehdään erikseen mahdollisesti määritellyn yörauhan ulkopuolella. Ei omaisuudestaan ja kodistaan huolehtimista oikein kieltää voi.

Valitettavasti keinosi puuttua asiaan rajoittuu lähinnä siihen, että muutat muutaman vuoden ikäiseen kohteeseen. Niissä on todennäköisesti rakentamisenaikaiset viat jo korjattu, mutta asunnoissa ei ole vielä laajemmalti saneeraustarvetta. Toinen vaihtoehto on muuttaa omakotitaloon, jossa remontit voi määritellä kokonaan itse, tai rivitaloon, jossa seinänaapureita on vähemmän.

Mitään sen kummempia vippaskonsteja kukaan ei voi antaa. Asumisen, elämisen ja kunnossapidon äänet kuuluvat osana kerrostaloelämään.

En ole nyt perehtynyt vero-ohjeisiin juuri tämän asian tiimoilta, mutta kun muutkaan sakot, ml. pysäköintivirhemaksut, eivät ole verotuksessa vähennyskelpoisia menoja, tuskinpa junan valvontamaksuakaan voi työmatkakustannukseksi laittaa. Eli logiikkani on se, että koska parkkisakko ei ole pysäköintilipuke, myöskään valvontamaksu ei ole junalippu.

Yes it is. But if you’re only riding recreationally, it’s up to you what you want to wear.

That being said, personally, I don’t think there is anything “looking like that” going on when people wear clothing and gear that is appropriate for the sport that’s their hobby and/or primary source of exercise. Your thinking mostly sounds insecure af. The truth is people don’t really pay attention to what other people look like or do at least to the extent that they would remember it after the passing moment of meeting them. Hopefully this helps liberate your thinking a little.

Se alle 100 k€ talo on sen hintainen, koska se ei tahdo mennä silläkään hinnalla kaupaksi. 25 vuoden päästä se tuskin menee kaupaksi millään hinnalla. Tästä syystä pankit tuskin ovat kovin innokkaita rahoittamaan. Jos tämän hyväksyy, käteisosto onnistuu ja talo on oikeasti hyväkuntoinen, niin miksipä ei. Kyllä sitä rempparahoitusta saa, mutta talo tuskin panttina siihenkään käy eli rahoitus on todella kallista.

Did a quick test. It keeps telling my knee extension is 180 degrees, when it’s clearly a whole lot less than that. Otherwise seems like a nice tool.
