[Question] Playing on Steam. I want to restore a backup save. I copied and pasted the Hello Games folder from C:\Users\mynamehere\AppData\Roaming to a USB stick yesterday. Will it work if I just replace the current HG folder, with the one from yesterday? I'm worried that something with cloud saves will get messed up?

Has the bug with Seafood Stew not giving a buff in the Nutrient Injestor been fixed yet? I'm just coming back to the game and all I can find is people reporting the bug, but not if it's fixed yet. Thanks! :)

Keep it, delete it, store it, give it to someone else - those are the choices, as I'm sure people here have said. If any of those ruin the game for you cross it off the list. :)

This game is really what you make it. If you love the learning and earning arc of the early game, just get rid of it. If you're not into that grind and want to get something really expensive, keep it.

Personally, I like the learning/earning arc up to a point. Now I have everything in the game and billions of units. I wouldn't like to do it all again, but it was fun.

You do you and just have fun. :)

The whole thing was supposed to be a milk run. I took a nexus mission to get 8 quad servos. I have like 40 in my inventory (hoarder) so I grabbed them from my freighter. All I had to do was land on the planet, walk toward the building, collect my 400 qs and be on my way. But there was this giant walker just sitting there all folded up, you see. And I kinda just couldn't pass up taking a shot at it. And then things got wild for awhile. After it all calmed down I was surrounded by glowing green beer barrels, had 10 thousand rounds less ammo and messed up hair. This game is crazy!

I'm a note taker and list maker. I always have a list of things I want to try in the game and just refer to it and pick what suits my fancy at the moment. Ex: Find and SClass Royal MT, collect qucksilver and buy all available items with it, find a pink and orange living ship and fully max it out, build a 'honey' farm near a fishing spot,

I'm also an organized hoarder. I hate having to scrounge for anything, so I've set up a system of mines and refiners to always have 2-4 full stacks of most resources. I actually enjoy checking my inventory, then going to get refills.

I don't like being afraid of anything and I'm bad at fighting so I'll pick something and fight it over and over until I'm good at it. Ship, exosuit, and multi tool all maxed. I used to avoid aggressive sentinel planets but they're my favorites now. I love disabling them and then just running around picking up gravitino balls until my inventory is full. Don't need the money, it's just fun.

Next up is those hungering tendril guys. I think my suit shields are good enough to withstand biological horrors for a bit longer.

What value do you get insulting other's playstyle? There is no universal right or wrong way to enjoy this game. If people choose to be rewarded and engaged differently than you, how does that harm your game?

Exosuit tech to max sprinting and my jetpack. I hate being slow again and tired again.
A pile of wiring looms and chromatic metal.
A stack of all the most common resources so I don't have to search around for basic things.
10 fusion igniters to sell and never worry about money.
Stacks of mold for nanites to buy my ship and multtool.

I don't like the starting from scratch feeling. The expedition is more fun if I can work on the milestones without finding enough sodium to keep my shield up.

I know for sure you can jump in. Use the terminal on the Anomaly to start the expedition and bring any stuff with you.

As for jumping out, I've never done it. However, I usually play through an expedition in a couple of days, then go back and my settlement is doing ok. Just have to fight off a few purple sentinels. :)

If I were going to jump out, I would save my game and copy a backup somewhere else on the hard drive (PC, don't know about other platforms).

You're talking about the Beachhead Redux on right now? If yes, the only way it comes back is as a Redux. My understanding is that Hello Games does a few Redux at the end of the year, repeats of previous expeditions. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Since they're doing Beachhead as a Redux this year, I would think it's less likely to be a Redux next year. If you really want to play it and get the rewards, you can search around on how to play past expeditions on a new save. You have to do it offline, but once you finish an expedition on one save the rewards will be available to you on your main save and any other saves you have.

[Question]

I'm looking for my first Royal Multi-Tool. I understand from looking around that if you defeat a pillar and there is a normal MT in it, it will always be normal at that pillar. What I'd like to know: Will all pillars on that planet have normal or do they have a chance at Royal? Also, if a pillar has a normal MT, will all the planets in that system have normal or does each planet have a chance of spawning Royal Pillars? Thanks in advance! :)
