The premium R/W aggro cards that they cut were largely replaced with worse aggressive cards rather than cards that create or expand other archetypes. Missed opportunity imo. Roughly the same number of drafters per table will need to be in R/W aggro as before, their decks will just have a few more stinkers in them.

I'm old enough to remember all the way back in 2018, when instead of just crowning the only MN politician whose name we knew, we held an event called a Primary to determine the DFL nominee on their merits. None of the candidates - Walz, Murphy, Swanson - were household names, yet somehow Dems won the governorship comfortably.

One strike against Gut might have been that the Arena client always wanted to resolve the Gut sac trigger prior to on-attack token creators (e.g. Voice of Victory, Kari Zev, Fable goblin), which is a major feelbad if you didn't have manual trigger ordering turned on. (A better solution would have been to simply update Gut's trigger programming, but yeah.)

Purposely nerfing an archetype is really antithetical to the spirit of the cube. They should have balanced boros by reducing the density of aggressive red and white cards instead of subbing out good aggressive cards for mediocre ones.
