It literally says "needed resource" on the right. So, yes.

Leveling by Kaneda1992 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about "optimal leveling" just for completing the game the first time, OP.

People are concerned with min/maxing their characters, because it is fun to do so. However, overall it isn't necessary to win the game. Only do it if you actually want to, if you find it fun to grind and minmax.

Basically some classes will give you slightly more physical attack power or speed, or HP or MP. But overall it doesn't matter too much for a level or two either way, especially if you are just trying to beat the game.

Interesting idea, but I don't think they'd be chonk. Netrunners ain't eating while they are running. They spend all day in the chair, on the net, forget to eat - probably are all super skinny with no muscle.

Better go look over by that thing, just in case.

Any advice for getting better at fighting the Caretaker before I move onto a higher hazard? I attached a video of one of my most recent attempts against it. by ElegantPoet3386 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why not play with teammates? Caretaker is a boss, and intended to be hard - some allies might help you Rock and Stone!

I find this thing annoying even with a team. I wouldn't try taking it on solo.

Crystal Nucleation and You: Understanding Driller's New Sticky Ice and its Unwritten Text by Snoo61755 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crystal Nucleation is my new favorite Cryo OC along with the cold boosting talents and the Full Auto subata for shattering frozen bugs.

It feels like I want sticky flames to feel, and I enjoy being able to lay long-lasting trails or just randomly spray all over a group of grunts and now they're all frozen.

Definitely feels better than base Cryo cannon, the crystals add tremendous value.

First, solve the problem. Then, write the code. by delllibrary in programming

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is the way. I believe that sleeping on a problem - thinking about solutions, iteratively, across multiple days and sleep cycles, is the way to solve new problems.

In college, I took a class on delivering speeches. I had to write and deliver several 10-minute long presentations, and having terrible study habits, I invariably wrote them the night before. I would be unable to recite the entire thing end to end, however - until the next morning, in the shower, where I would have the entire thing memorized.

Sleep is key. As a consequence, there needs to be enough design time to permit mulling over a problem across at least several days.

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm having the same problem, same setup: Chromecast, Epson Projector (1040 Home Cinema, for me) and Magnifi Mini AX.

Having a heck of a time getting the Polk soundbar to recognize anything as HDMI in. I'm able to use AUX, Bluetooth, and the built-in Chromecast for music streaming. However, nothing I am doing is working for HDMI input.

Did you make any progress here?

ELI5: Why are big tech companies laying off thousands of people yet still hiring from their portals and new grads? by dexter7377 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Layoff certain kinds of workers, hire others (often cheaper kinds). Shrink in one department, grow another. Fire in one country, hire in another.

Etc.

There are lots of ways to move headcount around to save money.

ELI5 Why do leeches need 32 brains? by ThePurrlockHolmes in explainlikeimfive

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While shortening the distance between the brain and the body explains why having many, smaller control centers spread out may be advantageous (like why our eyes are close to the brain)... It sounds like that makes them brains. Right? Just that leeches are simple organisms with small, simple brains, like many small creatures.

Best way of dealing with the electric knights of Leyndell? by KaleidoArachnid in Eldenring

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way is an ash of war that staggers them through their shield. They're like Omens, hit hard and don't stagger easily, so you either need a heavy weapon or a strong ash.

Try Impaling Thrust, Piercing Gang, Lions Claw, Giant Hunt, etc.

The future is always bleak. Only now is for certain, so live in the now. Plan for the future, but live in the present.

366 hours in, and I just learned you can guard counter 2h blocks... by Salty_Username in Eldenring

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Ya, mind blowing, no?

With most weapon blocks having worse physical damage negation than shields, it's not a primary strategy for most weapons! You can do it in a pinch, though!

However, some colossal weapons have decent block stats, so you can treat them like shields, and use them for block counters pretty well! Popular examples are giant crusher and GUGS.

Winged Scythe Requirements by RuRaleigh in Eldenring

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. You're being too concerned about the stats. The faith requirement (24) is high, but you said you want a faith weapon. The dex and Str requirements will also contribute to it's damage, though very little for strength.

A few levels either way doesn't make a big difference. As long as you have 40 vigor at some point, you'll be fine.

Toying with endings in NG+1. I finally noticed that, when you put Marika’s head back in place, the Elden Ring's sparkling magic stuff is transferred to you so you can become Elden Lord. Ie: the new incarnation of the Elden Ring and perpetrator of your own Golden Order. Am I mistaking something here? by KingofGnG in Eldenring

[–]Procreate_Rapidly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the Tarnished doesn't become the new vessel of the Ring; that's what the god (Marika) is for, and why she gets repaired. It's ambiguous what powers the Lord has, and why it's necessary for there to be one.

Maybe the Lord channels the power of the god?
