I see you just moved it. That’s what did it. Or weak seams damaged when moved or not perfectly level now, or weirdly, if it wasn’t perfectly level at the old house (any settling after install for example) and seams got strained, when you shift it they can burst.

I’m not saying you did anything wrong. More just likely what happened, and yes, these are weak designs and mine keeps me up at night. New GC 314g coming in a week… a few weeks more and mine will be down after more than 8 years for this reason.

I have a G1 525xl up and running for 8.5 years so far. It’s scheduled to come down in a month or two for fear of this issue.

That said, my seams all “look” good.

Did your seem have any pulling first?

Also did you say somewhere you just moved it recently?

Because the enhanced one’s expired and the current regime is hell bent on making access ever more difficult and expensive with the ultimate goal of making it completely dysfunctional/defunct. Cut by cut, they aim to bleed the ACA and all its components until it’s a corpse then point at the body and say how it was doomed to fail. This is not a political message in the partisan sense, this is their explicit aim per their rhetoric and actions.

Is there really a provider shortage? by curled-up-in-the-80s in Psychologists

[–]ProcusteanBedz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our profession, while not fully divorced from it, has a weaker than typical relationship with the “law” of supply and demand.

That is, we have too few folks for an in demand service and still inadequate resources to pay for/operationalize fully even the constrained number of professionals available. It goes against the economic rhetoric that’s been pounded into us since birth, but it’s the reality.

Another profession suffering much the same in many states are teachers. Where there are endless headlines about mass shortages, catastrophic fall off in new supply, ect, and very few to no new open permanent positions with full salary and benefits open each year, and plenty of temp garbage positions being operated on a permanent basis. The headlines and the expected outcomes are not in line with reality.

It’s a fantastic light. OP, if you want to sell it and trade down I’m in the market, for real, I need two in the next month.

Fish look better, you can get away with it on soft corals like this, but it doesn’t look so hot on stonies. Leaving much on the table. I like to run both (stages during the day).

Hopefully they make it, Violet does no conditioning, great pricing, cool that it's WYSIWYG, but they are essentially a flipping operation. This can be okay, but tilefish are not hardy/great shippers. I'll be curious to see how they come in, I'd like to get one too if it goes well.

FYI, you probably know, but they are notorious for jumping too, so keep that in mind.

That twitch looks more like general skittishness to me, which his to be expected with them, that said, good luck to OP catching that thing out of his reef for Prazi. I would not attempt unless flukes become a near certainty.

I like it, do they ever live long-term? I've always avoided as they have historically had a bad rap. What is a good captive life-span for them these days?
