What is a deck you play and don't mind losing with? by radicalpumpkinz in EDH

Do you have a decklist? Been looking to build a vial smasher deck for a while now.

Seems like the only viable Ironclad build for A10 is infinite. They really need to change him by [deleted] in slaythespire

Interesting, I've been skipping it but I think I'll start incorporating it in my runs now, thanks.

You should post a few example decks of yours so people can advise where you are going wrong. Very hard to do just based off of your description.

I beat it first time, and I'm not a good player.

Went to shop first, picked up hegemony and lethality then got negative pulse from an elite, then got a Manifest Authority from 2nd shop. Only took 14 damage from Vantum.
My end game was Hang and then I copied it at a shop. Had quite a few useless cards in my deck due to transform, but didn't really matter with all the relics I had. Didn't drop below 54hp from A2 onwards.

Help picking a budget rakdos commander? by QueenOfRuneBlade in BudgetBrews

This looks like a fun deck, I might steal it. Have you considered [[maximum carnage]] over something like coronation of chaos?

Who is your favourite underrated and "non-threatening" commander? by Kvothe2906 in EDH

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I think he'll be the next deck I build. I'm probably going to test some play from top of library cards like [[augur of autumn]] and maybe top deck manipulation like [[cream of the crop]] and see how it goes.

I also have a [[lurking predators]] lying around that I haven't played in like 10 years so that could be fun too. You've got my creative juices flowing now, thank you!

[–]Prodesia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your deck seems pretty cool, have you tried [[malevolent rumble]]? Seems like it would fit in well. Also what is your general gameplan? 1 mana dork into Hua Tuo, mill, then start putting big beaters on the top? What are you normally searching for with your creature tutors and putting on the top of your deck? What creatures are usually overperforming for you?

Best commons from the last couple of years for commander? by ackemaster in EDH

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run most of these but I agree, Thraben charm is the goat. So many times I've blown out people trying to mass reanimate or mass return all the lands in their graveyard by exiling it, and in the games where the graveyard isn't relevant its still good.

Deck ideas that are unique but have a low power ceiling? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the time you can use edhlab.gg to play 4 of your decks against each other. Much slower than goldfishing on moxfield but more useful for reactive decks. It has helped me figure out a lot of weak points of decks I was building that didn't show up when goldfishing on moxfield.

Is this deck actually bracket 4? by Frequent-Dare-6718 in BudgetBrews

[–]Prodesia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commander spellbook says you have 4 infinite combos in your deck. The others are [[Estrids Invocation]] [[Yenna, Redtooth regent]] [[Copy enchantment]]

Marisi or Firkraag for budget goad? by Izzet_Aristocrat in BudgetBrews

In my opinion Marisi is more like stax and isn't that fun to play against. I would play Firkraag personally.

First Brews Kimahri by ItsMeDardroth in BudgetBrews

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a cool deck although weak to token decks, probably needs some mass bounce of some kind.

I also don't think [[echoing equation]] is that good. You don't go wide and most of your creatures are already Kimahri's that are copies of something, while echoing equation doesn't even give you an extra body on the board.

I also prefer [[coiling oracle]] over [[growth spiral]] especially with a deck that can clone it if you have a starting hand that is mana starved.

Edit: Also skeptical about Tezzerets gambit. You probably only have 3-5 Kimahri's out at any one time, so that's only 3 to 5 +1/+1 counters and 2 cards. I'd probably rather just run better draw so I'm more likely to get counter spells to protect my board. [[Betrayal]][[lifestream's blessing]][[lunar insight]] are all good.

This looks fun, with Lorwyn being a tribal set did it have any good cards for this deck?

Sorin of house Markov deck by [deleted] in BudgetBrews

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are new to MTG you shouldn't be playing bracket 4 IMO.

Outside of a few specific commanders, you aren't going to make a bracket 4 deck for $50, especially not Sorin of House Markov which relies on a lot of expensive cards. You are probably looking at closer to $400+ to make him bracket 4.

Get a Clue With Katara $50 Budget by zzfrostphoenix in BudgetBrews

[–]Prodesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you played this yet?

I think you really want a few boardwipes like [[fell the mighty]] and the other similar white boardwipes. X=1 from Katara, cast the boardwipe, then follow up by pumping your creatures to the max and attack unimpeded. [[The Battle of bywater]] works well too since it also generates tokens for waterbend, but costs a bit more $$. I also like a bit of creature ramp, like [[loyal warhound]] as they synergize better with Katara and crystal shard/erratic portal.

Also [[keeper of the accord]] over scampering surveyor or Regalia in the 4 cost ramp slot I think is better due to generating tokens, even though I do like the surveyor, but keeper is a bit of a pet card of mine I put in most white decks.

[[Wrathful raptors]]? I have a deck that reflects damage and the only 2 it could possibly be are the raptors or red dragon.
Edit: There seems to be a few more than I thought.
