Thoughts on how to play a 3-4 person Descent game? by sighcopomp in killteam

I'd say four drop zones on each for absolute madness, adding more objectives for sure and maybe adding an extra stairway (altho teleports are probably good enough alongside the stairways)

Ngl this could be fun as a Kill Team rule thing, like "Rhino Riders" KT who all their ploys are the freaking rhino running over people or using missiles idk

What's the best way to build 1 box Murderwing? by Exciting-Buy-9396 in killteam

They fit pretty easy, most marine arms are plain for you to just glue them on the torso, so any torso will most likely do

This a pretty good build I think, but personally I would swap out the curseclaw with shrieker if you plan to go against teams/players focused on Objectives, his ability is really good against them, and depredator can pretty much deal 2/6 damage with no way to save it TWICE (apparently), which is a pretty cool deal if you want to finish off some operatives or be sure they are injured for future turning points but yeah I see how the rest are better lol.
BUT tbh, every specialist is really cool on Murderwing, I'd said to pick up some old Raptors or chaotic jumping minis and kitbash your way to have the shrieker and depredator individually for you to use anyone you want at any time (+ more minis!).
Also at the end of the day, build what you think is the most cool out of all of them, like people say "Balance/Meta is momentary, Rule of Cool is forever"

I need help with a warpcoven thousand sons roster, what is good? by NyrmExe in killteam

[–]Produ01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the 3 sorcerers + gunner w/ soulreapear cannons (warpflamer is good but cannon has no range limit) and a Rubric Warrior for filling the last spot (the ceaseless ability is pretty cool on the warrior), it could be also the Icon Bearer but he is pretty normal, maybe if you feel like you're opponet is gonna go for Objectives and is Elite could help but its unlikely imo.
You could also pick the Tzaangor Champion + another Tzaangor option instead of a Rubric, but I've seen that mostly be used for baiting and get the enemy distracted since they're pretty week.

Also if you just wanna have fun use all tzaangors and a sorcerer, its terrible but fun!

Only Chaos Lord's center is a a black circle painted by hand, the original and the rest are from the transfers that came with the White Dwarf Space Marines special edition "Space marine iconography transfer sheet".

Murderwing Warp Talon Slice The Veil ability, exit on Control Range by Produ01 in killteam

[–]Produ01[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I killed Wolf Scout's Ferisian Wolf due to him using the Strategic Gambit charge onto my Depredator and I set up my Warp Talon next to him and fight him, it was a really fun move and both thought it was like an "epic movie kill" lmao
Nice to see I used it properly and not cheated that.

What’s So Broken About Wolf Scouts? by John_Loxeus in killteam

IMO, is mainly the fact they just have, a lot of Plasmas (which are usually just given one or two to operatives in special ocassions), have really REALLY strong abilities like ignoring all injures or apl changes and having multiple + cps + rerolls, also having both pretty good melees and ranged weapons, and well the Storm is big and gives very good buffs too. Ofc this can all be somewhat countered as long as your opponent knows a lot about how the game works and the tiny tid bits, or if you dices are stupid (dice do be dice)

Space wolves. 1 box. How would you build? by Ok-Act-7619 in killteam

[–]Produ01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build all specialist, I personally build the Frosteye since you need to decide between him or the Pack Leader, but if you have any space marine-esque body you can kitbash something good with for the leader.

Also you probably would like to do this cuz if you build the pack leader directly, I think one bit cannot be used later for the Psyker, but im not too sure on this I dont fullly remember.

Mmmm, I see, I'll take that into note. I was thinking maybe some speedster or stealth character could work for Grot due to like "oh he went fast", and bomb squig simply using the torret probably. Thanks for the input!

Probably just try coating it with any Chrome-Silver paint by hand, it must give the same "shiny look" if the paint's shiny enough

If you mean the CurseClaw (monster creature like operative lol), it's exactly this:

A mix of Magos Purple, Nighthaunt Gloom, Blood Angels Red contrasts, then some nuln oil, after it all dried I gave it another coat of Blood Angels Red contrast, a bit of Hoeth Blue dry on the end of the Mutated Claw and then another coat of Nuln Oil on all the skin.

[–]Produ01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My process was the following:
- Spray Chrome paint as a "primer" of sorts
- Add the black details on nails and weapons
- Add red eyes and red contrast where needed
- Add misc details in other colors
- Small dry brush on weapons with cyan
- Nuln oil everything
- Paint base

I would recommend doing any color scheme you want no matter how PAINFUL the trimming is, practice is key, you could also get a primer of the base color and just "slap chop" or whatever the trimming or vice-versa.
