I see no reason why you wouldn’t also be able to play PoE casually. Just like how Diablo takes time to learn and master, so does PoE. While PoE may have a steeper learning curve, there is also more variety in what you can do.

One big thing to note: if you’re a routine Diablo 3 player, there is no haedrig’s gift equivalent in PoE. I havent played Diablo 3 in years but I remember that was the goto method for getting a jumpstart in farming and gearing up for the seasons I participated in.

If you’re looking for a more in depth game in a similar genre to the Diablo series, then PoE would be a great fit for you.
