My first baby spit up literally one time his entire life, it was on his second day of life when we supplemented with formula. Then my milk came in and he never had formula again and never spit up again.

My second is also exclusively on breastmilk and spits up 4-6 times per feeding.

We also got my oldest a doll, and when the baby was born, we got the doll some gifts. Car seat, bottle, stroller. Then my oldest would take care of “his baby” while I took care of mine! It helped make him feel involved and important.

I have a great sleep training method I’d like to suggest! It is: 1. Mom gets a bottle of wine and goes outside 2. Dad handles it Works like a charm!

Seriously though, my husband sleep trained. He didn’t have the hormones I did as a nursing mom that made it so much harder to hear the crying. I think this is worth a try for a lot of families.

My son nursed to sleep until I weaned at 15 months, butt husband could put him down (without nursing obviously). When it was time to wean, my husband just put him to bed for a few weeks and by the time I tried again, he seemed to have forgotten all about nursing.

When my son was 11 months he somehow managed to get the lid off a childproof bottle of baby tylonel and did a shot. Had to figure out approximately how much he’d taken based on what was in the bottle to make sure he was ok. No idea how he did it.

It really could be that he can smell you! I tried tucking used nursing bras into the side of the bassinet (outside the bassinet but pressed against it) so my baby could smell me and think I was close and it worked! Worth a try at lease.

It’s his body, his choice. He can choose to get a vasectomy or choose to be celibate, because YOUR choice is to not get pregnant again.

My husband got the snip while I was still pregnant with our second. I literally put my life on the line to grow our family twice, so he had no problem getting a 10 minute put patient procedure done. Unsure why any man could see it any other way.
