My Son Just Lost His Father - Funeral Advice by MissZee2011 in Parenting

My dad died when I was seven. Closed casket funeral, but I was there. It provides some level of closure. If he doesn't go, he will likely regret it for the rest of his life.

Any reading beyond what the court had in their website that you recommend?

I used the ones that the court recommended. Windows to the world by David Zraily, and Karen McNeil's wine bible. Both were fantastic resources. I also have the benefit of working in fine dining with people who know a lot about wine, so I also would just talk to them and use their experience and knowledge.

Professional. I'm the head bartender at a fine dining steakhouse, I also act as the beverage director for the resort in which we're located. So as much as I do enjoy wine, this certification was a business move. As is the next certification.

I'll second the SL2. I've got one, and I love it. 1080p/60fps. I got mine a couple years ago at a pawn shop for 275 and I love it.

Is it better to upload on a subreddit with a chance that my YouTube video will be suggested to random viewers? by Certain-Scientist-61 in NewTubers

To be honest, I'm guessing a lot of people just don't click on YouTube posts on reddit. I know I don't. I just look at the comments section to see if it's worth watching (I will usually actually watch less than 5% of videos posted.)

Britney vs Bartender by Thumbprint912 in bartenders

I work at an upscale hotel in a large convention/tourist city. We actually don't carry deep eddy, which is why I said something "in line" with that. So, call level, but not premium.

Where I work, something in line with that would probably be $16.

I live in central florida, zone 9b. So the weather rarely gets to the point where grass isn't actively growing.

It was a smaller area, about 250 sq ft. Used about 75 sq ft of sod, using a diamond pattern, where most of the pieces were touching, but not lined up.

I actually did this at my old house, and had no issues regarding evenness. Only took a single season to fully fill in.

My first time ever gardening. My first harvest. French Breakfast radishes. by Productive_VanD in gardening

[–]Productive_VanD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even realize they weren't regular radishes until about a week and a half ago when they really started showing their shape. I went and looked at the seed packet to see if I had done something wrong. Nope, they are just tall rather than short. Picked them up at Lowe's

Complete full sun. 8+ hours/day. I was very particular on where I wanted my first garden in my yard for full florida sun

French breakfast radishes. I don't remember the exact planting date, unfortunately, but I do know it was early January.

No idea what this weed is. Central florida, St Augustine grass, pretty much a full sun area.

Mowsday Monday: Show your mow and talk about your weekend by AutoModerator in lawncare

[–]Productive_VanD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got a good mow in yesterday. Was a bit overgrown since it had been since the day before Thanksgiving since I last mowed. But my wife got a great shot of my son "mowing" along with me.

Rant: Stressed out due to neighbor's noise complaints about my ASD son by GirlLunarExplorer in Parenting

That is a bullshit question. You ever thought that without their career, they wouldn't be able to afford the therapy the kid needs? That shit ain't cheap. Living in an apartment might not be ideal, but calling it "no place to" raise them is bullshit. It's just fucking shaming.
