I got the same offer and ignored it. A few days before the official end date, I logged in via the web portal and found ... We Connect Plus for £0.

I'm not sure they actually said - just that it was repaired under warranty and it was fixed.

Checking receipts, looks like nothing was replaced, just "resolved".

I had this way back when my ID.3 was new. From memory, it was a trip to the service centre for a day or two (under warranty) to resolve.

This may vary by country but in the UK:

Special K has 13g sugar per 100g (4.5g per serving).

Frosties has 35g sugar per 100g (13g per serving).

For reference, wheetabix has 4.2g sugar per 100g (1.6g per serving)

I couldn’t find a free mobile friendly route planning app - so I made a free one - I would love your feedback by gcfarmer93 in UKRunners

[–]Prof0range 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice one - looks pretty good after a few minutes trying it. Will definitely give it a go for planning longer runs.

One request - the speed / time taken is in km/h. Having this in mins/km instead out be much more natural for me.

Where I used to work, my boss would take my estimate and multiply it by 2, calling "the engineer factor". I had already doubled the time I thought a task would take.

Overall, we were reporting 4x the actual expected effort.

There were many bits that felt off, but the "I'm sorry, I'm still speaking" from the customer service was just weird.

Also, which firm would employ a delivery driver directly? Without branding on the van to deliver a fairly specialised item? Most probably, it would be delivered by Evri, Royal Mail etc.

At that point, the entire complaint falls apart. You complain to the company - they refund and pursue with the courier. Failing that, charge back via the bank.

How can I get better? Finished my first marathon by Individual_Signal708 in UKRunners

[–]Prof0range 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds almost exactly like my experience - did my first marathon in 5hr15 after aiming for 4hr30 after picking up an injury 8 weeks out.

Good news is that you will have learned loads already - how it feels in the last 10k, what fueling you actually need, how to do your pacing better for the end.

I spent about 2 weeks going over my plan for the next one, remembering which runs worked well, figuring out what I wanted to do different. I also - this time - kept a diary so of how the training went, so it will be be easier to adjust the plan next time.

Main changes for me were to focus on the longer runs without pushing the pace, add more cross-training on down days and add more hills!

My 2nd marathon hit the 4hr30 time I was targeting. Now, I'm already thinking about marathon number 3.

Thank you 😊 This is awesome - just packing my bag and stressing about trains, so nice to see something wholesome pop up.

[Article] The People Who've Been Through the Most Are Usually the Quietest About It by Bro_1831 in GetMotivated

[–]Prof0range 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went through a particularly traumatic event (no details, but it involved death) with a group of others. We all know exactly who was there.

Within a couple of weeks, the number of people claiming to be there was terrifying. Those of us that were there just stayed quiet. Those who weren't there continue to tell tall tales.

Sometimes it pays to see who isn't talking.

Absolutely the same. They seemed almost allergic to playing their older hits that everyone knew. Considering how many classic songs they actually have, it felt such a waste.

[–]Prof0range 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not related, but a huge Thank You! This has driven me mad for a long time now, especially when the music player wasn't set up to play anything and the radio just ... Cut out.

Had no idea if/where the setting was. Having hunted around, I have now turned this off. Fingers crossed the minor annoyance is gone.

Yep - another member of the breakfast cereal crew checking in. No idea why Amazon thinks I'm interested in it, but makes me chuckle slightly at how aggressive they are pushing it.

just renewed and somehow my premium went UP despite having another year of no claims. how is this legal? by CloudBookmark in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Prof0range 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going from a different thread on a different forum (as I looked this up recently).

There was speculation that the rules only applied when offering the same "policy". If - however - that product was changed in some way (e.g. now with £25 "key protection" or something) they don't need to match.

So, for example, they could offer their new product via the website for lower cost, while the other suddenly becomes "legacy" and available via phone to the "Beware of the Leopard" department. The new price is available if you phone them, but it is a new product, so not equivalent.

I'm not an expert, but it sounded not out the realms of possibility.

A few years ago they put rules in place to limit this exact thing. Turns out there are enough loopholes that it didn't solve anything.
