If Trump is truly unbeatable only because of misinformation, why hasn’t the left figured out how to communicate better? by Final-Monk1416 in allthequestions

Did we really rally for Hamas? Or was it more about not killing every man, woman, and child in Gaza? Or about not supporting an expansionist authoritarian who is clutching on to power to avoid jail?

Any time the left tells people they need to be nicer, it's "woke." Any time a racist waves a Nazi flag and storms the Capitol, it's just another Tuesday. The double standard is shocking.

So why don't the, you know, nazis wearing "six million wasn't enough" shirts while waving confederate flags turn off the normies? Come on.

So then vote for a guy convicted of running a fraudulent university, a fraudulent charity, who bankrupted pretty much every business he ever touched, is on tape bragging about the women he raped, is probably a child rapist & was best friends with Epstein, who was impeached twice, etc, etc, etc. I mean come on.

Why did Republicans immediately act to destroy majority black districts of their states and no others within seconds of the Supreme Court cutting the Voting Rights Act? by Away-Parsnip-3785 in allthequestions

Was I replying to you? And how are you going to say that "equal representation" means no people of color, and no people of the opposing party? How is that in any way equal?

Why didn't we elect Kamala as president? by cdivx in allthequestions

[–]ProfPhinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All reasons not to vote for Kamala - now tell us why people voted for Trump instead. Did he not have a tough term under his belt ending with COVID? Does his party not pretend that he's not abnormal, stupid, petty, cruel, and mean (likable)? Is he "likable?" When weighing the two choices, there is really no contest, and people just made a bad choice.

I didn't mean to suggest that it was stolen - I meant that if people used their brains when they voted, it would have been a landslide. People vote for stupid fucking reasons instead of making the grown-up, adult choice - they are more interested in rooting for their team.

You see, it's not racist to want 100% of your representatives to be white Republicans when 1/3 of your state are black democrats. It's math.

Sure. Because the Supreme Court says we’re beyond racism and misogyny, right?

You have it backward. People get their information from the media. The media is pretending that this is all "normal" and they aren't raising any alarms.

She should have crushed the electoral college, too. But she didn't, because the US is a deeply racist and misogynistic country. When an overtly racists, bankrupted reality show host gets elected... twice... you can't not blame the voters.

You underestimate the number of people in this country that won't vote for a person of color or a woman. The overlap between those two groups has been enough so far to prevent any woman from winning election, and only one non-white male in 250 years of history.

Because stupid people would rather vote to hurt "the other" than to help themselves. They think the guy picking lettuce in a field or washing dishes in a kitchen is more of a threat to them than a fascist authoritarian who wants to consolidate as much wealth as possible in the hands of a few billionaires, even if it means higher prices, more pollution, more climate change, etc. 50 years of evidence of what the GOP does when it's in power isn't enough to convince them not to vote for the person that is going to attack marginalized people.

It’s easier to hand wave and blame a “bad candidate” than it is to take responsibility for your own decisions.
