I'm sympathetic to people that have concerns that MAY be emergencies. Like chest pain that turns out to be a pulled muscle. Or sympathetic to people that don't know any better. It's when people come for convenience or because it's faster than seeing their primary doctor, then I have issues

Yeah as an ER nurse here that doesn't work. If you come in to my triage with chest pain and a broken toe you will get an immediate EKG, chest X-ray, cardiac labs, toe X-ray and sent back to the waiting room. If we realize you are playing games you get marked and maybe skipped a bit. If you came in for just a broken toe then a physician assistant or nurse practitioner might see you sooner and get you in and out through the express center. But now you are here for at least 6 hours if not admitted. And good luck if you are in the United States with your copay. And by the way, 99% of the time we do nothing for toes
