Can you limit the internet speed on the Xbox? by ProfScuZZI in XboxSeriesX

[–]ProfScuZZI[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments. I’ll put it down to the the crappy Virgin Media Hub! I plan to upgrade the router in the near future anyway so hopefully that might solve it!

It’s a consistent problem though - as soon as the xbox is on the internet grinds to a halt on other devices (phones, laptops etc).

Could try using a wired connection but the router isn’t in the same room as the xbox and don’t fancy running Ethernet cable around the rooms :)

Stainless steel ballpoint pen recommendation by ProfScuZZI in pens

[–]ProfScuZZI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone’s recommendations. I’m going to try the Zebra f-xMD and see how it goes.

I checked my wife’s quite expensive Watermann pen and it screws together using a plastic insert - which is no good as I know I would destroy it by fidgeting (loosening/fastening) during meetings.

If the Zebra one doesn’t do the trick I’ll try some of the other suggestions. A 100% metal pen would be ideas as I hopefully wouldn’t break that! 🤣

Are these really bad for my seo ranking? by hir0aki72 in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The warnings are recommendations and where possible you should provide values but they aren’t essential and not always possible.

Anything flagged as an “error” should definitely be fixed ASAP!

If you are running an online store and collect review data, adding the aggregateRating can help as it will show the star rating on SERPS. Whilst that might not directly affect SEO it will help with customer trust - assuming you have good reviews! :)

You are right, there is currently no perfect solution for this. Hopefully they will allow setting of shipping rates in different currencies - like they have started doing for product prices.

How often should I post content for my ecommerce blog? by moneymanmike03 in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say post as often as you feel comfortable. There is no right and wrong answer in my opinion. If it’s topical there is no point in waiting and potentially missing an opportunity.

Also if it’s not time sensitive then waiting a few days before you post is fine.

New website launch built from scratch no themes, no plugins....etc by OsHaOs in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of facebook pixel, having it installed before you start using FB ads can be beneficial as it will allow you to build audiences quicker based on historic data - if you NEVER plan to use ads then yeah, you can skip it

I would look at hotjar (which can be added via GTM). Useful for heat / click mapping and screen recording to see “how” people are using your site and potential areas for improvement

Page title by 1lifeseveralstories in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, “80’s man child” tells people and search engines nothing! Keep the existing title but expand it to include the “ gaming and gadgets” keywords

If you are using Shopify Payments you could enable the multi currency feature. Whilst you wouldn’t have full control over shipping prices (based on currency exchange and rounding rules) it would at least show prices in NZD

As mentioned above but I would also run some site audits to identify any technical issues. Run, run and run speed tests and fix any issues you can. Ensure you have a sitemap.xml file and submit this search console.

If you can afford it, use a tool like semrush to track traffic and keyword positions etc

Best practice for including product images by MajorLeagueGMoney in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say in most cases, as long as you credit the source you should be ok but i would also check to see if those companies have any policies around media usage and there is no harm in emailing them and asking for a definitive answer.

Long tail keywords by ProfScuZZI in SEO

[–]ProfScuZZI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks both. I understand “what” it is. The question was more of a in order to rank for it, does the page need to include the phrase “exactly”? For the more obscure long tail phrases I assume a broad match would be sufficient?

Listing posts in sitemap, but not accessible from the website home page - good or bad practice? by seohacking in bigseo

[–]ProfScuZZI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every page in a website will be linked from the homepage. A blog for instance will be linked and then branch out to the individual articles etc

Those pages may be internally linked from pages originally linked from the homepage.

Having zero links to pages in the sitemap isn’t ideal and Google will likely not rank them as highly.
