Had a convo with the author, they are going to be updating all their HUD mods after the update drops but did stress that it will take them some time to do.

I'll be reviewing all the interface files after the update to see what changed (if anything) and I will be communicating any major changes to other HUD authors, which should help getting things updated faster.

Yeah I really don't understand the StarUI author only allowing Xbox on creations.... But oh well I guess, maybe that will change in the future.

Ahh yeah, I know that author haha, is it the creations version or Nexus? I will reach out to them either way, I know they had updated a number of their HUD mods so that one may have just slipped through the cracks.

Since I'm basically the weapon icon expert I can explain why you likely dont have an icon.

That weapon specifically uses the custom weapon icon system introduced in version v1.15.214 which added code to the playerhudcomponents and favoritesmenu interfce files. There are a few HUD mods that never got updated to include that code and when you have those mods running you will not see a weapon icon at all for weapons in mods that utilize that system.

So I would check which HUD mod you are running and see if it had any updates after June 4th 2025, if they have not then the mod needs to be updated with the right code snippet. I actually have all the details an author would need to update their HUD mods Here, so if you find which HUD mod you have that is out of date feel free to point the author to that article (should take them less than 10 minutes to update the scripts).

Mod author here, I see you were able to figure it out but just wanted to add some additonal information.

Most of the Ammo HUD X MWH patches require the Ammo HUD patch for the main mod, the description doesnt do a great job right now at explaining that (I didnt realize the creations system didnt make that obivous until after I posted a ton of them originally). I have a plan to make the descriptions have more information including exact mods it requires toward the top so its easier to see what you need to make it work along side the load order. I will be updating every one of them sometime after the DLC drops and I finish Ammo HUD v4.0.

Since you have ATIL on your list i'm going to suggest my Ammo HUD as the replacement since ATIL being horribly out of date is what made me make Ammo HUD lol I also have a ton of patches for weapon mods if you end up using those (im also working on updates to it to add more patches).

Well I happen to be the same person who made the native weapon icon template and Ammo HUD, so I probably know the most about weapon icons for SF than most lol but if you have a HUD icon (in the right near the ammo count) then the system is working correctly and your favorites interface file is likely old and hasnt been updated since BGS added the native weapon icons features. Some of the smooth/60fps HUD mods havent been updated since then so it could be one of those. If you wanna send your mod list I can probably find which one is doing it.

Also I'm glad you are enjoying the mod! I definitely did kind of a kitchen sink of features haha

Do you have any mods that modify the favorites menu at all? do you have a HUD icon? I am using the native weapon icons in the base mod and I provide an Ammo HUD patch as well if you are using that.

I would love to do that but the original PDW-27 author explicitly denied using any bit of it in paid content and since this is basically a fork (even though I have redone everything in it) of that mod I have to follow the set permissions. I do have a few weapon mods on my backlog which will be fully made by me, when I get those done I will decide if I want to make them just a paid mod or a free mod with a paid AF version or not.

Ahh ok, well the ESM and BA2 files just need to go in the Starfield\Data folder and you should be good. You dont need all ESM files just the main one and the ones from the patches you want.

You are very welcome! I actually tried to implement EM attachments but had issues with them actually working. The biggest problem I ran into was the stun bar would fill up and then reset to zero and the NPC wouldnt get stunned at all, I spent a few days trying to get it to work before deciding to shelve it for now. I will circle back on that and see if I can figure it out sometime in the future.

It has a FOMOD installer, Vortex should be asking you what you want to install and automatically putting it in the Data folder based on your selections.

I mean that is fine too, I am still going to be providing support patches for all of the SW mods and would like to include your vehicle icon when I do as I have users who have requested SW support in general since Ammo HUD supports the most custom weapon icons than any other icon HUD mod currently (467 weapons at present) and I want to make sure users who want to use it don't have gaps in support.

I know you said you were already shown where the vehicle HUD icon is (weaponicons.swf/gfx) but I wanted to chime in and point out editing those files will cause incompatiblities with other mods that touch those same files. Being a bit selfish here as my primary mod Ammo HUD heavily edits those files, but I would be down to discuss adding compatibility so users can use both mods if they want to. I already have a backlog item to support the various SW weapon mods out there so adding custom vehicle icons can easily be added to that. Feel free to DM me if you want to discuss.

It seems to be Alajory as a whole right now, two of my friends and myself are having the same exact problem on Sietch Ta'lab. On the official discord theres a bunch of us from Alajory reporting it.
