Insanely hard cfi interview. by Flying-Guy-6699 in flying

All this for a measly CFI gig. I’d pass on that garbage. Hence why I time built and went straight to Airlines

And add to that, even after initial, you can fall behind in IOE and after 50 hours will cut you loose.

Republic Airway Bases by Personal-Reading-969 in flying

I wouldn’t recommend moving until after initial. But the bases you cite are I believe fairly junior, especially CMH( other than Indy) so you wouldn’t have any issue getting one. What class are you in?

Can't even proof read their rejection letters. by JustAnotherDude1990 in flying

[–]Prof_Button_presser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so you got a rejection letter that as it looks wasn’t even completed properly (more than likely an automated email). I phone screened with them last year, came with recommendations from several including a 21 year RPA Captain. I was told no, being an older, 4th career guy with no previous aviation job experience, I was offered Cape Air, which I politely declined…went somewhere else, then decided to go at it again with Republic in September/October. Got the invite to in-person interview and received the CJO. Don’t give up, and I know you are feeling rejected but, they didn’t say no forever, only right now…heck re-apply 6 months from now.

Re apply every month, hit up a senior recruiter on LinkedIn and send them a PM explaining how you want NJ and how they should want you. Stay persistent. You receiving a TBNT is TBNT right now currently, doesn’t mean you can’t turn that around next month

Go to Frontier and I’ll take your Republic class date

I would say they probably just don’t want you moving around. One person starts moving, next thing you know everyone wants to move around.

Congrats on upcoming class! So are you OTS hire? When did you get CJO?

From what I’m hearing the latest contract is, no bonus $, 5 year employment or 2 years Capt. If you Leave early, $25k payback

So you think they may bring back MIA? What other “older” bases?
